As God is my witness, I'll never wear polyester again!

I get so frustrated when the weight comes off sooooo slowly, but I have to keep telling myself that I didn't gain it overnight so I won't lose it overnight. Don't you wish that you could??? :flower:

Hope your weekend is going great!!

Ok looks like I had a weekend like most of this board. Wanted to just throw in the towel. I did fall off the wagon and then made myself climb back on.

I am glad the weekend is over. The weekdays are soooo much better for my diet.

I know what you mean, this weekend was ROUGH! Must be some kind of end-of-summer comet or something...

Congrats on the loss, any loss is a good one! I am like you with the cake and ice cream and whatever other goodies magically appear. I tell DB to get rid of it! Then I get mad at him for eating it all...

Keep it up, you are doing great!

Save me a seat on that wagon...I need to climb back on! ;)

I'm also a slow loser...I told my DH that I needed to change the title of my thread to "Christin's Diet: Lose Weight like Ice Melts off a Glacier." There will always be frustrating days, but as long as you get yourself in the right mind frame of this being a "life-style change," you'll be fine.

Okay, now that we have all fallen off and climbed back on, maybe we can stick with it!! Weekends are my hardest time, also. I almost gave up yesterday and ordered chinese. Thankfully, the minimum order for delivery was $10.00 and I wasn't able to go and pick it up. I would have needed to order a LOT of food to spend $10.00, so I ate a taco salad instead. Someone was looking out for me!!! We are all in this together. :grouphug:

Well the water guy finally brought our Kentwood bottles here at the office. Our office diet consortium was just about to dispatch the hitman when he showed up.
:drinking1 :drinking1 :drinking1

I packed a good lowpoint lunch. A WW friend reminded me how low in points strawberries are and so I bought some yesterday. My 3 DD's and I finished them off so I'll have to pick some more up. I also picked up some of the WW vanilla ice cream bars coated with oreo crumbs. OH MY GOSH- THEY ARE GOOD. Only 2 points.

I am really nervous about weigh in tomorrow considering my weekend disaster. But I am really drinking the water and watching those points. Kind of like cramming for an exam. ;)

I know what you are going through. I used to do WW the WRONG way. I would eat like a banshee all week and starve myself on Friday before weigh in on Saturday morning. I wouldn't eat dinner on Friday night, and by the time I got out of the WW meeting on Saturday morning (around 11AM), I thought I would die from hunger. So then, I would start the weekly cycle over again!! You probably didn't do as much damage as you thought you did.

Glad to see that you had a loss last week, even if it was a tiny one it was a loss. Good luck tomorrow and hope it's a great loss for you!!!!! And hope your dh got rid of that cake - how bad of your mom!!!! :)

Keep on
Chris

Today is DANCING DAY!! Get up and GET MOVING !!! :dancer: :dancer: :dancer:

Hi!!! Good luck tomorrow on the WI. I hope the scale moves in the right direction for you!!!!!

Hope DH got rid of the cake. I hate it when the good temptations are still there!!!!

Keep up the good work!

Yesterday was crazy! First day of school, Dr appt for me, Dentist appt for 2 older DD.

You know something is fundamentally wrong with driving your DD(13 yesterday 14 today) to your High School for her first day of school. I am NOT THAT OLD!!! Until yesterday I considered that school mine. Now it belongs to DD. Oh my God my baby is in high school. That should have sent me straight to the donut shop. But it didn't :cool1:

I watched an older classman (my guess a junior) give her the once over. My first thought was "you go Lacye". My next thought was "Boy- you look at her again and I'll snatch you bald. It's very very odd these feelings I've been having the last few weeks. One minute I look back at my HS years and remember the excitement of HS and I want her to have as much fun as I did. The next minute I look back and remember all the dangers and the close calls I had that I didn't even realize at the time and I want to home school her. This DD in HS thing is making me nuts. :crazy2: -correction- It's making me bi-polar. :rotfl:

Weigh in at WW showed 1.2 lost this week. I consider this a major victory considering the chuck wagon fiasco last weekend.

4.4 total lost.

Hoping to do even better this week. I have DD 14th b-day party tomorrow. Pizza, cake and ice cream to contend with. Keep your fingers crossed for me!

Yay for the weight loss!!!!!!!! :cheer2:  :cheer2:

My DD is only 6 but I will be the same as you. Things are so different these days. I dread her becoming a teenager - I remember all the stunts I pulled (lying about my whereabouts to hang out with boys, etc). I think I will have to be heavily medicated for her HS career!!

Hang in there this weekend! There is nothing wrong with pizza and cake and ice cream as long as you eat it in moderation! I know, it's WAY easier said than done, but you can do it! :goodvibes One of my old tricks is to eat only fruits and veggies all day before the big celebration meal. Then I don't feel so guilty!

Congrats on the weight loss. That is great!!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Hope you have a great weekend. Keep up the good work

:Pinkbounc Congrats on the AWESOME loss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Woohoo!!!!!

:cool1:  :Pinkbounc :cool1:  :cheer2: :Pinkbounc :cool1:  :cheer2:

Thanks for all the support guys!!

Well DD had a great b-day. Scavenger hunt was a huge success. I only had 1 piece of pizza (with 22 kids I didn't have time for more) and a small piece of cake and ice cream.

I'll add up points and decide on dinner in a bit. But hopefully I'll need no flex points today :)

Pretty good weekend overall. I used some flex points but not ALL of them and that is an improvement. Had pizza Sat and Sun- but only 1 slice. That is a first for me.

DM cooked lunch Sun. since my sister was in from Houston. She put a huge platter of brownies on the table and I only had 1/2 of one.

My sister is 9 weeks. Not showing yet. I went crazy and bought the baby a beautiful blanket, a pooh bear night light, a pooh bear tiny security blankie, two white gowns and another white outfit. I was the first one to buy anything for the baby. You know that baby is going to love Auntie Cindy !! :flower: :flower: I've already told them to get ready- We are spending Thanksgiving next year at WDW.

Today is going well. I packed lunch only 6pts. I had a yummy WW carrot cake. They look really small, but they are so filling.

The girls and I decided over the weekend that we watch entirely too much TV. So we have officially instituted family hour every night starting tonight.

Mondays- Arts & Crafts
Tuesdays- Computer fun
Wednesdays- Mission Organization
Thurdays- Outdoor fun (rainy days-educational fun)
Fridays- Family game night (this one we've been doing for a while and lasts way longer than just 1 hour)

Tonight we are making Fairies. DD 8 has a kit she got last year for her b-day that we have been saving. She is really excited.

I am really anxious to go to WI thursday. I should reach 5 lbs this week. I have been fighting this same 5lbs for 3 years now. I don't know what I'll do when I reach 6 lbs. I do feel more in control than I have in a very very long time. That is really due to WISH. I have been pretty faithful about journaling and I know I have a cheerleading squad backing me up. :cheer2: Thanks you guys!!!!!!!

A toast- To burning this awful polyester outfit I have on today when it no longer fits!!!!!!!!

Yes, a toast is in order! I am a traveller, I can toast you in several languages (please forgive the spelling, I'm not sure on some of them!) Salut! (Mexico); Skoal! (Norway); Prost! (Germany); Cheers!!!!!!!

You had a GREAT weekend, congrats! Add a couple more good days this week and you will be happy with your weigh in! Keep it up!

Cindy -- I am so excited for you that you are doing so well and have taken control over what you are eating. I really hope you will hit your five pounds this week. It will be very validating for you.

I know what you mean about sending your DD off to HS. Mine is a senior now, and when we went to open house at her college of choice I noticed so many boys noticing her and nearly decided to lock her in her room!

Have a great day and keep up the awesome work!
