As God is my witness, I'll never wear polyester again!

So, how did the weigh in go? Happy times I hope???

Hi!!!! How did the weight in go????

Hope you are having a wonderful Friday. Keep up the good work!

For those wondering I missed that last WI trying to get everything ready for our trip.

Thanksgiving at WDW was wonderful!!!! We had a fantastic time and plan to go next year also. Gaylord Palms was beautiful, but I have to admit we missed the magic of staying on property.

Food wise I enjoyed myself but did not go crazy.

Now it's the New Year and I am recommitted to my diet. DH bought a scale and I did pick up a few pounds but I am anxious to go to WI today and get the official result. I would like to reach my goal weight by the end of 2006. On the home scale I am at 178 and my goal is 123. So that averages out to about 1lb per week.

I am going to continue with WW and make journaling and water a priority. I am going to find some exercise that works and do it. Most importantly I am changing my attitude about losing this weight. In the past I always started out so negative and in desperation and disgust with myself. This time I am setting realistic goals. I will be true to my journal and at times I will blow it and that is OK!

Today is my second day of journaling. It is going very well. Used 3 flex points yesterday. I am enjoying some healthy snacks during the day. I found a picture of me at 129 lbs that my husband took of my rear end in 1999. So I have taped that to the inside of my journal as incentive. :wizard:

A toast to 2006- "May all our weight loss dreams come true" :drinking1

Faced the music at WW. 179lbs. I am still down from the 184 I started at when I began WW this fall. So now I have my official starting point for 2006.

I had a horrible headache yesterday @5:00pm. This seems to happen on day 2 everytime I start or restart a diet. I think it is my body rebelling. I enjoyed a baked potato for dinner and did not snack.

Today I was down 2 lbs from yesterday on my scale. Feeling good!

Welcome back! Congrats on keeping those 5 lbs off even through travelling and the holidays.

Great job at resisting all the snacking. That is a tough thing to do! I like your new attitude, I am sure you will be able to meet your goal by the end of the year.

What exercises are you going to try? Do you belong to a gym?

Welcome back!!!!

Sounds like you have a good plan for 2006, and I know that you will be able to stick to it!!!!

Keep up the good work and have a wonderful Sunday

Cindy, glad you had a great time on your trip. I'd love to go back to Gaylord Palms again. There was so much to do - we didn't leave the resort for three days. Our favorites were the dualing pianos & the Mediterranean brunch. Congrats on starting the new year at 179!

Well the weekend was very busy. We had about 30 of DH family over for dinner Sat. nite. I didn't have much time to eat (being the hostess) and so I had a small ceasar salad, 2 rolls and 1.5oz of cheese. Don't applaud me just yet, I also had 3 Raspberry Martini's and 1/2 slice of cake and lots of fun. ;)

Sunday was pretty good, but I am glad to be back at work and drinking my water today.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Amy- I have a dozen exercise videos (Sweatin' to the oldies, Tae-bo, Pilates etc...) Also DH wants to start walking so I am going to start there and then MAYBE join a gym that is in between work and home. I am leery of that with 3 kids and a crazy schedule. AM is completely out for Gym and the PM may or may not work although I know it would be so good for me!!
Jamie- thanks for the encouragement.
Jane- The Gaylord was beautiful. We used priceline and got a great deal.
I know how tough it is to schedule in workouts with kids. I have found the best way for me to do it is to go right after work (both of my kids are in an after school program that they love). If I go home first, I will never make it to the gym. Same with a workout DVD. If I don't do it right after work or first thing on the weekends, I can kiss it goodbye...
You will find something that works for you, and whatever that is, stick with it and that weight will come flying off! :cool1:
Yesterday- not my best diet day. I had a nice little lunch of cheese, crackers and a pear, but DH called me at the last minute and asked me to lunch. Well you know you can't pass up a free lunch with a good looking man can you?
There are not alot of choices around my workplace. DH suggested Pizza- NO Mexican -NO. I suggested Wendy's (baked pot for me) but DH said NO. So we opted for the buffet. (Where in my grand ignorance I thought I would have lots of choices and be able to eat healthier). I should have stopped him at the Mexican. Lets just say that flexed me out for the week. Oh well today is another day and I just enjoyed yesterday's lunch.
You have the right attitude about getting back on track today! One meal will not ruin you, remember that! And eventually I bet you will be able to face that buffet and still make healthy choices!! :goodvibes
