We are renting points for the first time for Boardwalk. Do we get the same perks as when the owner of the DVC points is on property? Like free valet parking? what is the discount ticket rate? Any dining discounts?

Thanks.

Technically, no. The perks are for members only.

However, your room key will most likely be imprinted with the words "DVC Member." Some places will accept that as adequate proof of membership. Others may request to see the formal DVC member ID card, which obviously you will not have. It's pretty inconsistent from one location to another, one cast member to another.

So the answer to your question is a definite "maybe."

You aren't supposed to but you might. Your key to the world card will say DVC member on it and if an establishment accepts that, then you will get the discount. The ticket diccount is 10% of UPH tickets. When you check in, they give members a list of all of the discounts that are available. You may get this but I'm not sure. Good luck. Have a great trip.

Our documentation from when we bought our points states that guests of the member (meaning no cash transfer) may be entitled to some of the perks. It also says that when the member is compensated for the points, the user of the points is not entitled to any of the perks.

But like others have said, you might get some or all or none of them. Just don't plan on getting them and you might be pleasantly surprised.
