Arriving for your ABD

For my ABD germany trip it says I should arrive in Frankfurt no later than 3pm. Can you arrive at any time prior to that on the start day and they will pick you up at the airport when your flight gets in?

We went on the Germany ABD trip last September. We arrived early in the morning after an overnight flight and had a private car to our first hotel. Our room was ready and we were greeted by our ABD guides. There is an early evening welcome dinner on arrival day so you would need to arrive at the airport by 3pm to attend the dinner as it takes about an hour to get from Frankfurt to Heidelberg. It was a wonderful trip! Have fun.

Yes. If you arrive on the start day of the ABD, then they will pick you up whenever you arrive. I know some people who have arrived at really odd hours occasionally have been asked to take a taxi, which ABD reimburses, but I think that's pretty rare. But you should have that all pre-arranged with ABD (or your TA if you are going through one). They don't want you arriving any later than 3pm so that you won't miss the Welcome dinner.

If you are flying straight from the US, I *highly* recommend arriving at least a day early if you can. However, you'll only get transfers from ABD if you book any pre-day hotels through them.
