Arriving early evening, one day MK tix?

We currently have a 6 day MYW package (park hoppers and dining). We weren't planning to go to a park until the next morning, after arrival. Now I'm considering that since we arrive late afternoon, we could run to MK for a stroll down Main Street, maybe fp a ride or two, and catch the fireworks.

What's the most cost effective way to do this, add a day to my existing park hoppers, or purchase a 1 day ticket to MK only? Or is this a bad idea?

Add a day to your ticket. A 1 day ticket is not worth it!! You can search for prices for multiday tickets but going from a 6 day to 7 day is not that much money..

Add a day. It's infinitely cheaper than purchasing a new ticket.

You can add a day at any time during your trip and the cost isn't going to change so maybe wait until toward the end of the trip and see if you need it. Maybe on some day in the middle you don't go to the parks or on your last day you don't. We always buy what used to be called length of stay but now it's just number of days. If we are going to be there 5 nights, I buy 6 day tickets because you just never know. The cost of that extra day isn't huge, at least for two people so it's not worth worrying about for us.

After reading I was curious, too, so I checked on line; NeedMooreMickey is right - adding a day to a 6 day park hopper is $10. Wow!

Adding a day is so easy! Just do it at some point before your last day. We had 6 way base tix and added a 7th day...it was like $31 for all three of us. Totally worth it! You can do it at the parks or at the concierge of your resort.
