We are going to be in WDW for 5 nights in September. The parks will close 6-7 I believe while we are there so we will probably only have 4 hours on our arrival/departure days. The cost between a 4 day MYW Hopper and a 6 day ticket is negligible so that is not a big deal.

What would you plan for getting into the magic?

Went last year in September and both MK and MGM were 8ish the whole week, except MK for Spectro was 9pm on Sat & Tues.

We tend to do Chef Mickey's are 1st night and then spend a couple of hours in MK.

We like to do Chef Mickey's the first night as well! It's a great way to see the characters and get in the Disney mood!! ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo

We love to attend the Hoop Dee Doo Review (dinner show) at Ft. Wilderness on our first night of a trip to WDW.
Its a bit pricey, but we always enjoy the wacky family-pleasing show and the abundant finger-food dinner.
The "Hoop" is so popular there are 3 shows presented every evening and you can make your ressies up to 2 years in advance (at some busy times of the year, that's necessary!) But we've never had trouble making them a month or so ahead of our "off-season" treks.

Then, after the show, we take the 45 min. hay-ride (about $8 per person). Its really a peaceful ride in a wooden, horse-drawn wagon (no actual HAY to stick to you.)

We know we've really arrived at WDW with this unique entertainment combo.

Things didnt go as I planned for our trip... but finally got dd out of the pool, woke dh up, and then decided to head over to MK...

and walked around in a daze!! LOL, it was so overwhelming to me to 'be ' to be 'there'... it was wonderful... just walking around, getting some fastpass just to test it... ...

well to each his own!!

we're heading to EpCot to walk/graze around the countries

We always start off at Epcot & MK unless we take the late flight (arriving MCO at 10pm)

This coming trip we're doing AK & Epcot, something different to take advantage of early entry.....

I can't imagine being in WDW & not doing a Park, tho.
