I know the obvious advantages/disadvantages to both locations. (Transportation, Food, Location) Tell me why you love or don't love either. We are renting points in October 2019 for our 20th anniversary for 4 nights. I am aware of Food & Wine and also MNSSHP. We have been to WDW many times. I want to make this trip special and it looks to come down to these 2 because MK & EPCOT are our 2 favorite resorts. I just want to know your opinions and why you feel the way you do about these 2. Ultimately we can't go wrong, which is why this is difficult!

Thank you!

If you can get into BCV during the Food & Wine Festival time frame, that would be the obvious choice. But you will probably have a very difficult time booking there.

You might have a hard time booking CCV too. October thru December are some of the highest demand times of the year for DVC resort bookings at WDW.

If you own DVC with a WDW resort home, I would strongly advise booking your home resort at 11 month mark.

If you are renting points, I'd start that process right away to give you the best chance of booking the resort you want.

Good luck with your planning for your anniversary trip! :)

Also, CCV is harder to rent because many new owners don't rent right out of the gate.

Assuming you can get either one by renting points, I'd look at what you'd want to do. CCV studios are small, and since you're celebrating your 20th anniversary, I'm guessing that at other times you may have kids with you? If so, and you really want to check out CCV, then do it on this trip! (This was our reasoning for booking a TPV studio at BLT for our 25th - we'll try it now or not for a long long time)

Having stayed in a BCV studio with 2 kids, it is more doable to stay there with kids, I think. I love the BCV location and pool, but there's not much in the way of views.

Going back to "what you want to do" - are you likely to do more F&W and stroll around the BW area, or would you try the restaurants in the MK area (a ton of great signatures) and possible MNSSHP? I'd stay where you plan to do most of your activities, though you can't really go wrong either way.

This December I'm doing a split stay between BWV and CCV (our two home resorts). We like to coordinate the Epcot/HS days with when we're at BWV and the MK days when we're at CCV (and then ideally AKV on the transfer day in between). It's so nice to be able to walk to Epcot during F&W! But I also love the relaxation of being at CCV :-)

Agree with what others have said, if you want BCV and CCV during this time period, you should have owners lined up to rent right at 11 months.

I know you didn't include it, but I'll toss it out anyway LOL :rolleyes1

My pick for a super special trip focusing on MK and EPCOT would be the POLY. Gorgeous resort with easy monorail access to both, as well as the launch from Poly to MK.

While walking in from BCV is great for F&W the DVC units are not nearly as nice as those at the Poly... well, CCV, too for that matter... and you are stuck with the bus to MK which I personally hate. Hard to book at 7 months has already been pointed out.

Have fun planning and enjoy your special celebration whatever you decide :flower1:

Definitely Poly. Hands down.

Just got back from Poly/BWV. We adore both. But it was extremely sad to be leaving Poly and switching even though we love BWV/BCV and the Boardwalk area. There is NOTHING like the Poly in my book. Those huge studios, the smell of the hallways, the peacefulness, the music, the romantic feel. One big AHHHHHH for us.

Definitely for an anniversary.

Just back from 4 nights in BCV for F&aw and I look forward to doing it again next year.

I love:love: the Wilderness Lodge DVCs, but the convenience of being so close to Epcot and the food kiosks for instance, makes BCV OR BWV our choice for F&W.

You cannot beat the convenience of BCV for access to Epcot's Food and Wine Festival. However, I found the rooms barely "themed" after the recent renovation. Gone is the NJ Beach resort feel, replaced with a somewhat generic hotel room that could be anywhere.

CCV/BRV doesn't have the convenience of walking to Epcot or MK; you'll be on a bus from either of these WL resorts.

If you're looking for a place that has convenience to both parks, it's got to be BLT or Poly. At BLT, you can walk to MK, or monorail to Epcot. At Poly, you can walk to the Epcot monorail, and monorail to the MK. The Poly is better themed, but you'll be limited to a studio. For a special anniversary, I'd spring for a BLT Lake view 1 bedroom because of the king bed, jetted tub, and the luxury of space, even though it is just the two of you.

Of course, there also is Riviera, but I don't know that will be open in time.

We are currently at BRV and have only gone from WL to Ft Wilderness before going to Epcot once in four bus trips.

We did our first trip without kids a couple of years ago. We stayed at BCV (owners there) and it was during food and wine. We just love the area. Aside from the ultimate convenience of walking to Epcot, there is so much in the BCV and BWV area. There are shops, restaurants, bars, etc. It is so nice to be able to walk around and see more than just your hotel - without having to hop on some sort of transportation. I have not been to Copper Creek, but have stayed at Poly and BLV - being on the monorail line is really nice too. I still prefer the luxury of being able to walk around the resort area.

I totally agree and was thinking the same thing. Nothing better for location in my eyes than Poly!!
