Are you allowed to snack on nuts during the first two weeks?

No - sorry. During induction you are allowed: meat (unlimited), eggs, cheese, and 3 cups of veggies a day. (veggies include salads, cucumbers, broccoli, cauliflower, celery, brussels sprouts, asparagus, etc. Stay away from carrots, sweet potatoes, peas, and the other sweet veggies). You can also have salad dressing - just be sure to use the kind that has 2 carbs or under.

Induction is the hardest part because you're so limited. But, your body really needs this time to cleanse itself of all those extra carbs and sugars. After Induction, you can slowly add in healthy carbs in the form of more vegetables, berries, nuts, Atkins products, etc. - but just a little at a time.

The best nuts are macadamia nuts, with almonds a close second. Many low-carbers like peanuts, but I've noticed they make me stall. You have to try for yourself! Cashews are pretty high in carbs, so are pecans. So limit yourself.

Good luck!!! You can do this!!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Just a thought... be careful of the salt if you buy salty nuts. I know they taste so good, but I was snacking on some salty stuff yesterday, and am up one pound today. I know it is water weight, because I can't even get my rings off today!
