Please don't turn this into another vax argument/debate. Otherwise this post is going to get locked like the countless others...
As much as I wish that was true I don’t think they will change it back.I think the issue may be that this is a rapid change by Disney and people may have booked with the previous policy of one family per table. It was a surprise to the person who posted about the Dream this weekend.
You could just put in a request to be sure. When we’ve been 4 or higher we’ve always been at our own table. We usually get grouped when we’re a couple. Now that Dream is back to sharing, will a party of 4 get their own table or do they do 6 and 8 together? My family sharing would just be awkward for everyone (we're super introverted lol) and I have zero desire to share things like bread, or sit near, people I don't know and that was pre-covid too.

I travelled as a party of 4 (myself and my 3 kids) and we were sat with another family of 4. Luckily we all got along great and my son (tall teen) even had a blast playing with their 8yr old son in the pool one day. Every time we saw them outside of dinner the boys would give high fives. It's hit or miss but in my 6 cruises (other than 2 of them that our group was so big) we've always had great table mates. I'm still friends with people from my first cruise in 2014.Now that Dream is back to sharing, will a party of 4 get their own table or do they do 6 and 8 together? Even as 4 it is just a request because they have 6 and 8 tops.
Our last cruise our party of 3 was put with a party of 5. It was fine and DD talked to the other girl her age, but I’m requesting a private table from now onNow that Dream is back to sharing, will a party of 4 get their own table or do they do 6 and 8 together? I wonder what they are going to do with solo cruisers. I am going solo on the Dream this fall. I am fine with whatever, but I imagine that they will stick us all together like usual.
I didn't read the thread about the changes, but is this going forward after a particular date, or is it effective immediately? (Seating families together with others).
I'm hoping they would somehow communicate that with passengers with cruises coming up shortly so they can request or modify their seatings.
I am solo on The Magic September Norwegian Fjords. I have emailed my Dreams Unlimited agent to request a private table. I'll get back to you and update after the cruiseI wonder what they are going to do with solo cruisers. I am going solo on the Dream this fall. I have an allergy
I'm not trying to start a debate~They will handle that the same way they do all allergies. You'd have your own bread/dip (if applicable) and your meal would be prepared and brought from the allergy kitchen. I'm gluten-free and peanut allergic (ingestion only, but they don't know that) and I've still been seated with others.
If it's airborne, that's going to be an issue wherever because they don't have an allergen-free scent zone.

There's a difference between an I just can't eat that allergy and sitting next to someone at the same table eating the things you may be more severely allergic to. Seating a party for allergies is always something DCL has done and should continue to be given priority. It's the standard that they set for families and why many choose to sail with them.
