and a 1 year old?

Will the 6 year old even need the stroller? I am just thinking that when you are rushing from ride to ride and at the end of a long day walking through the parking lot it would be a good idea to have a stroller that the 6 year old could take a break in too.

She is a little tall for her age and weighs about 50-55 pounds.

Our DD was almost 6 Feb 2003 and that was our first trip where we didn't take a stroller for her. We had been there for 2 weeks the previous Oct and she basically fell asleep in the stroller every night at park closing. While she was a bit tired last year, she was fine. When we went again in Aug, she did ask to be put in her brothers stroller a couple of times, but that had more to do with the heat.

I don't think that Disney's double strollers are the best solution for you. Can you take along your own umbrella-type stroller for her if you think she will be too tired? With Disney's strollers, she'd need to cross her legs so they weren't hitting the pavement, and in a double, her knees could be hitting the 1YO. The other idea is to rent one single WDW stroller, and if they are both riding, see if she can sit way back and put the little one between her legs. If she's uncomfortable at all, she'll get out and walk :teeth:

Hi there, we used a double stroller at MVMCP last dec for my 4 and 6 year olds(DD was 6 and a half actually)She is also tall and weighs about the same. We had NO PROBLEMS at all. I thought it would be tight and fighting would ensue but not at all. It helped that we didn't let them sit the whole time, they kinda spent half the time in and half out but it sure was a godsend at the end of the evening! Plus, it is so great to have the little pouch in the back to put things into etc... I think we did have to tell her to either lift or bend her legs but she didn't mind, she was in the World!!! Maybe you could ask to try it out first and then if she hated it get a refund? Good luck...:wave2: ::yes:: :wave2: ::yes::
