Are loveseats out of style?

DH & I recently started shopping for new couches for our family room, and everywhere we go, they have nice big couches and nice big chairs...no loveseats. Currently we have a couch, loveseat and chair w/ottoman. We have a big room, and I don't think 2 couches would be good, but it almost seems like a couch and 2 chairs may not look good with our layout either. Are loveseats just not around anymore?

We have a "love seat" instead of a sofa. Our living room is large but we have a piano and some other pieces that take up space so a larger couch is out of the question. Ask the salespeople is there are smaller versions of the pieces you like.

Same with us. Just got a new sofa and love seat. Two love seats wouldn't have been enough and two sofas, too much. Two chairs and a sofa wouldn't have fit the configuration of the room. I am getting a sectional for the family room again however.

I just bought 2 sofas for my living room. The room can take it & they look great. Sofa & Love seat prices are so close & you get an additional seat.

You might have to go to stores that specialize in also furnishing "smaller spaces."

I was out shopping for furniture tonight. I found that most sets are just displayed with a sofa and an oversized lounge chair. Love seats can be ordered as well.

Loveseats are generally orderable. We actually have 2 loveseats in lieu of a sofa and loveseat (no one sits in the middle couch seats in our family except the nephews).

When we bought our living room furniture we were trying to get the most seating space and looked at loveseats vs couches. The couch was only $100 more then the loveseat. We have 2 couches and 2 chairs in our living room. It is great when we have people over because there is a lot of seating space that way.
