Are CR tower rooms loud?

We are thinking about staying in a tower room at the Contemporary. We have never stayed in the tower before - only in the wings. Is the noise level bearable in the tower? It seems like it would be really neat to stay in the tower.

Opinions, please!:goodvibes

We stayed there a few years ago and didn't find it loud. I was worried that the sounds from Chef Mickeys and the monorail would be intrusive. We didn't hear them at all. I think we were on the 7th floor.

We stayed in the tower July 2006 and we were on the 5th floor right above Chef Mickey's. It was one of the quietest rooms we have ever had. Occassionally we could hear a small bit of music from Chef Mickey's but it was not a problem. We loved the convenience of bring in the tower for the food court and monorail. We also overlooked the pool area and could watch the EWP from our balcony ever night.

Enjoy!

As you can see from my sig we have stayed in the towers at CR a lot. We have never heard any noise from inside the hotel. The only time we were woken up was during Grad Night and they had bands and fireworks all during the night for the private parties. This was end of April, beg of May. The kids did not wake up but DH and I did.

I would highly recommend the Towers.

We stayed at CR in the tower in September and it wasn't noisy in our room. We were on the 11th floor on the end by Chef Mickey's, but the only time we heard anything was when we opened the door. I've been to WDW many times, but it was our first time to stay at CR and we were upgraded to MK view - it was the best trip ever - to be able to step out on the balcony and see the castle was unbelievable! The convenience of the monorail was great too. Have fun!!

I stayed on the 9th floor, directly above Chef Mickey's. Yes, I could hear the music everytime they sang the big celebration song. It wasn't much of a problem though, the tv would drown most of the sound out when it was on.

I was on the 9th floor right above CM's and we too could hear the party and the music every 45 minutes or so. It was only annoying at night when we were trying to go to sleep (the party lasts until 10pm).

But the view on the MK side FAR makes up for the little bit of music noise.

The only rooms you might consider to be loud are the ones that are over Chef Mickey's, no matter what view you would have. Personally my family and I have had rooms on that side in the past and the noise from there has never bothered us.
