Are all Disney Ponchos Clear?

I'm looking to purchase the Disney ones as we are going in stormy August and I like that you can replace them for free.

The online store has clear ones - but before I purchase there - I was wondering if they had solid-coloured ones in the Parks.

Thanks!

The only ones I have seen in the parks are the clear ones. Years ago they had yellow ones. You can get yellow ones in Target with Mickey on that are cheaper we noticed if you have a car. They were by the door.

I don't think so but am not certain.

The only ones we've seen worn or for sale were like you mentioned with "Disney Parks" emblazoned across the back.

I wasn't thrilled myself that there was no color choice when we bought ours. Changed my mind upon experiencing them in a breezy daylong drizzle where the several snaps along the sides were a godsend. They're also big enough to shield my 6'3" DH and much of his powerchair so are well worth the cost even if Disney didn't have that terrific free replacement deal.

They did have yellow ponchos at one time, but I kind of remember the plastic being heavier, not the greatest thing in the summer.:sad2:. But I prefer color to clear.

I think the clear ones are the only option. I believe it is for security reasons when entering the park.

Disney will replace them for free?????
I also didn't know that you can get them replaced for Free?
How is it done?
where to buy the Free Replacement ones?
How much?

I usually buy several of the .99 cent ones from Walmart and replace when needed.

Anywhere they sell the ponchos you just show them your ripped one and they give you another one, for free! That is why we decided to spend the money on the Disney ones instead of the cheap ones. ;)

When we were there last year the CM mentioned they went to clear because the colored ones made everyone look alike which was bothersome with families (especially little ones) wanting/needing to stay together.

I didn't know this! I brought cheap ones last year and regretted it. Next time I'll just spring for the Disney ones! Does anyone know the price currently in the parks? And I assume they have smaller ones for children?

I remember when I was a kid - maybe about 10 or so, I was in Epcot with my parents and it started to pour. We ran for cover and looked up, and like magic everyone in the park was wearing the same yellow poncho with Mickey on the back. To this day I have no idea how that happened so fast! I can definitely see why this would be troublesome to parents and groups, but at the time it was Disney magic at it's finest! I think I still have my yellow Mickey poncho somewhere :)

The adult ones were about $10 earlier this month. We ended up buying rain jackets instead for our trip because of the tropical storm (3rd trip we've had one come through), and it was easier to spot our kids in blue and green with all the clear ponchos.

yes they come in children and adult sizes. We tried cheap ones from Wal-Mart one trip around the $5 in terms of cost - they tore quickly.

Then paid around $9 for the Disney ponchos - we now own 4 - one has torn at the neck - after many many trips - took it over to a CM at the exit to the Winnie the Pooh ride and asked if I could exchange it and he took the old one and gave me a new one (he did confirm it was for an adult rather than a child). The other 'original' 3 are still going strong - IMO those ponchos are worth every penny.

We have 2 sets, since we got caught without them and bought new ones. The older ones have the castle on them and the newer ones have Mickey but they are clear. One of mine has a tear at the neck, it's really old (10+++ yrs) do they replace those as well???

Yes! It was like an instant sea of yellow!

Im pretty sure they wil

Wow, I have been reusing my torn one for years. I even taped the rip with mailing tape. Love disboards. Now I know to bring it in for a replacement. Almost as good as LLBean.

They do look for some type of mark on the poncho to verify it is authentic Disney purchased at park.

I had to trade in my sister's after a year or so (it got torn for some reason and I kept forgetting to bring it in for replacement) and I remember the clerk checking for something on the poncho

Only plus I found for me with the disposable ones is that you can throw them away and not carry around a wet poncho.

When AK opened, they had tan ones with Safari Mickey on them.
