Are all Disney Ponchos Clear?

On the replace for free thing some CMs will say it is for same day purchases only. Not sure if that is the case or not but I imagine if you bring an obviously very old poncho back they would be with in protocol not to replace it.

I will say we are an umbrella group. The ponchos just get super hot and muggy so I'd rather have an umbrella that I carry around rather than get more miserable in a poncho.

I still use the tan ones from AK, and some old yellow ones. I even have a couple of red ones from the old World of Disney store at 5th Ave NYC. I have not bought them in a long time, because they last pretty well. We hang the wet ones up, back in the room to dry and refold for the next outing.

We still have our Yellow ones! Love them!

Also, one thing to be aware of is that they will not replace them, even same day, in the countries in WS unless you bought them in THAT country- even if you bought a defective poncho, have a receipt from that day, and are looking at them sitting at the register (at least China won't). We bought ponchos in Mexico but did not open them or put them on as we stayed inside until the first rain stopped. It started pouring again when we got to China. We pulled out our ponchos to put them on and mine was missing the snaps on one side- which meant basically there was no way to close it and water would just pour in. The store in China refused to exchange it even with my receipt from buying it that day and showing them the snaps were missing- and me looking at the ponchos sitting there. They told me the country shops were separate and that the only way I could exchange it was to go back to Mexico (wearing my defective poncho in the pouring rain with water going down one side of my body). Why they couldn't just exchange it and then turn the defective one in stating that they had a defective one in their store, I don't know.

we purchased Minnie Mouse ones, with ears and all (red with polkadots,) at a shop
just outside the entrance to Animal Kingdom a couple of years ago.

They do look for some type of mark on the poncho to verify it is authentic Disney purchased at park.

I had to trade in my sister's after a year or so (it got torn for some reason and I kept forgetting to bring it in for replacement) and I remember the clerk checking for something on the poncho

They're looking for the "C" at the bottom of the logo which tells them if it is a child or without the "c" it is an adult.

I feel like I'm the only person who thinks they are terrible quality. We purchased on our last trip and I couldn't tell you how many times we had to go into a store to exchange. We never had any issue with getting a replacement but I'd guess each kid went through 3 ponchos and the adults probably a 2nd.

Never knew you could get them replaced. We have some of the old yellow ones. :)

We bought ours at the Character Warehouse. They have definitely stood up to a few trips. I'd like to exchange mine mainly because they have slightly turned color (almost like a rusty translucent look).

I bought DH & I Totes ponchos on amazon. We've been using them for years now without issues. Great quality, and I love the fact they are not clear.

Has anyone used the cloth (nylon?) ponchos that you can buy at Walmart, Target, camping stores, etc? I think the plastic ponchos are horribly hot, so I'm wondering if the cloth would be more comfortable. I picked up my 6 year old one on clearance for only $3 recently, and was thinking about buying myself one too.

We have ponchos that we bought at a Walmart near Disney World a few trips ago for $3 each. They're heavy weight red plastic, snaps on the side, with Minnie Mouse dots...super cute! I accidentally ripped the neck on mine during our last trip though. I like having a different color of poncho than the ones sold in the parks, since everyone blends in and makes it hard to keep track of your family.
