April/May 2006 Code Watch

Hi!

Just received the MouseSavers Newsletter and nope - no codes/deals - NADA :confused3

waiting, and waiting and waiting...............May 2006 codes, where are you????

Just called 12:30pm est and no codes yet.

The CM said he hopes soon (keeps getting asked) and his thoughts were in the next couple of weeks. (March 9 perhaps?) Since that is when they were released the last 2 yrs.

He also thought it was a matter of when and not if, but said that was only his opinion.

When codes come out...has anyone not gotten a code? I know they are only available for special time, special rooms, etc. But have they gone so fast that people weren't able to get one?

Ruth

Sometimes if you don't act quickly on the codes, the rooms are already gone by the first 3 days after the release! :guilty: They only hold a Limited amount of rooms at each resort, and sometimes Resorts are left out of the code deal. So, as SOON as you see the codes came out, ACT ON IT IMMEDIALTLY!! :thumbsup2

Thanks for the response.

I ck on here several times a day. Too often I think.

So, it's not like concert tickets where they are out in minutes? If I ck on here and call that day I should stand a chance?

Thanks again,
Ruth

Shouldn't be a problem. I made a very last minute change (a month prior) to a trip in Dec..I added a night to the end of my stay in order to get a better flight time. I told the CM I didn't care what it cost...just put me in a broom closet at any of the values for that one night. I did get an AP rate at Pop, and that was quite awhile after the AP rates came out.

I voted for him :) Good luck.

Praying to the Disney Gods for AP rates LOL

Thanks. The prize is an Andy Warhol type canvas print of Sierra!

I'm wondering if someone could answer a question for me while we are awaiting these codes...I've never done the "code" thing before. This is my first time as AP holder. We are DVC members but usually only go once a year on points. We are lucky enough to be planning a second trip so I wanted to use the discount if possible. That being said...we usually stay in the Boardwalk Villas and really love the whole area. I know the rooms are expensive to pay for. I've been wondering if the Swan or Dolphin would be a less expensive option to stay in that area and use the boats, etc.. and still have the boardwalk entertainment. My question is...does anyone know if the Boardwalk/Beach Club/Yacht Club get discount codes for AP holders? And if so, would it compare to the price of Swan/Dolphin. I'm thinking if the codes won't apply to those other hotels I should go ahead and try to book the Swan or Dolphin now. My trip is planned for end of May/early June. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

IF you're talking about this year, you may still be able to get the Swan or Dolphin for about $165/night...check the stickie on top of hte resorts thread....DU has much info on it.

We're DVCrs, too, and in our experience, the DVC cash villa discount has always been much better than the AP deluxe room discount. BUT, if you can get a good Swan/Dolphin rate, that would be even less expensive.

At least someone at Disney is updating the site. They removed the old code this morning.

OOOOOHHHHH!! That is kind of exciting! At least it's something! :cool1:

You know what's strange is if you click book now they tell you the special offer is no longer available :confused3

What about the code thru 4/8?

Not that I'm going yet, just curious why its not working.
