We showed this to our son, so that he can realize that just because he has Aspergers, he is not alone. There are plenty of famous people on this list including Bill Gates and Michael Jackson. I'm sure the kids that teased Bill Gates in school wish they were a little nicer to him.

-Biting
-Destruction
-Not Belonging
-Inappropriate Behavior
-Anxiety Attacks
-Fighting with everyone
-Strong Sensitive Connections with Toys
-Sadness
-Confusion
-Screams
-Loud Noises
-Inappropriate reactions to situational struggles.
-The Constant Feeling of Being Lost
-Seen as Crazy, Weird, Strange, Different
-The Reoccurring Question Of "What's Wrong With You?!"
-Being addressed with the sentence of "Why Can't you Just...." (fill in the blank)

There is NO WAY, speaking from an autistic perspective that LILO & STITCH are not autistic.

have you tried the disabilities thread? there are lots of people over there with asd in the family.

I like it here. Rumbly and TinkPix have made me feel safe and welcome here, so this is where I'll be staying.

i do understand totally, and i did not mean to offend you or put you under pressure.
i would say that everyone on that site is also very kind, and you could lurk and not post like i do.
my dh says i have autisitc tendancies, and i do on certain levels, so i understand ds more easily, what stresses him, better than dh. ds "problem" areas in every day life, the need for everything to be perfect, organised logical etc are a watered down version of my own needs.
i do not admit this very often so do not shoot me down in flames, i have never had a diagnosis and at 34 its fairly unlikely that i will, my new obsession with our disney holiday, and it is an obsession, is helping remove stress from other areas in my life, mainly work (i teach design and technology (food) in high school.

THAT, however.... is ALL I know. Not enough I'm afraid. Someone have helpful tips so I can share my disney images too???
