Your shoe looks amazing!!!
So, today, my DF and I went and ordered our invites. We are actually making them ourselves, but we are having the inside printed by an invite company. Then we are ordering pockets and paper and putting them together ourselves. One of the DisSigners made us up a very cute monogram and we are putting that on our invites. I am very excited about them. Trying to find the best deals has taken a lot of time, but I am sure it will be worth it. When I have one done, I will post it. I think they are Super Cute!
Also this week, Jeffery and I had a planning session with Disney over the phone. We went through the schedule of the day and figured out some timing issues that I had with scheduling Make up/Hair and photography. We also talked about adding a dessert party and Illuminations at the end of our reception. Our planner, Carol, is going to send us a BEO for what we have so far when she gets back from her vacation. If you want, I can post it up here. Just let me know. It's not settled yet, but it will give us an idea of where we stand and how much we have left over for floral and decor.
September 11th, I am going with my Maid of Honor and my mom to get my dress. I am hoping my Mom likes it, but at this point I don't really mind if she doesn't. I am a little fristrated with my Mom. I thought that she would want to help with my wedding, but she doesn't seem interested in it at all. I show her pictures of my ideas and she she says "okay". She doesn't offer advice or say whether or not she likes it. She didn't even want to go dress shopping with me. She just told me to pick it out and if I wanted to, I could show her when I buy it. She said she and her friend wanted to do my invites, but when I asked her about it, she didn't act interested. I can't really talk to my mom about the way I feel. She is not the easiest to talk to. I guess I will just keep trying to get her involved and if she chooses not to, then oh well. That is her decision.
Sorry to complain on here, but I just needed a sympathetic ear. Thank you.
I already typed this out once and then my internet had to restart.
Jeffery and I got engaged on September 4, 2009.
That day we flew in to Orlando from Seattle, Washington. It was a long flight and we were tired. While we were waiting for the bus to take us from the airport to our hotel at Animal Kingdom Lodge, one of the cast members told us about the Halloween party that night at Magic Kingdom. It was pretty late in the afternoon and the Halloween party was suppose to start a in a few hours. I wasn't sure if we would be able to get tickets, but I called anyways and they had some available.
If you have never been to Mickey's Halloween party, you should. It was great! They have a special Halloween show and firework display. The rides are open and there are cast members around that give up candy. They also have a lot of characters out and there are barely any lines for the rides or the characters.
Jeffery and I had just gotten off of the Haunted Mansion ride and were heading into Fantasyland when we saw that they were taking pictures in front of Cinderella's coach. I was so excited. We waited inline to get our picture done.
We got our picture done with our camera and as we were waiting to get it done with the professional camera, Jeffery got on his knee and took my hand. Jeffery took the ring from his pocket and said, "Will you marry me?" My jaw dropped and I immediately started crying. Jeffery put the ring on my finger and some guy nearby yelled, "What's your answer?" I, of course, said yes.
It was wonderful and he planned it so we could get professional pictures of it. Smart guy, huh? Enjoy!
