Thank you very much. I went to I DO BRIDAL in Seattle. I went to several bridal boutiques, but this one was m favorite and the people were the most helpful.

Yay!! Love the dress! You look stunning!! :goodvibes

Do you have you jewlery picked out yet??
Thank you very much. I don't have my jewelry yet. I am looking for some earrings with pearls and diamond and I am thinking on not doing a necklace. When I tried on my dress everyone said that a necklace would be too much and take away from everything, what do you think?

I have been working on our program over the last few days. This is what I am thinking and then I will put a ribbon on the seam. It is and 8 1/2 X 11 sheet of paper folded in half. I am going to do a different picture on the front if I keep this design, I just need to wait to get our engagement pictures done first. I am not sure about the music that I have selected. I still have not had my DF listen to the music, he is not into music so he really doesn't have a lot of input for me, so any ideas or comments would be a lot of help.

On top of this, we finally got our invites so now I just have to put them together. When I am done, I will be sure to post a picture of them.

Thanks for your response! They were going to be my next stop ^_^...I stopped by Cyderellies Closet in Edmonds yesterday...found one that fit beautifully however I didn't get the "magic" feeling... :( Did you? How did you know this was "the one"? As for the Jewelery...I think the dress is beatiful on its own...you could do a necklace if you wanted but I would think something really small and simple! Love all you plans so far ^_^:goodvibes

When I first tried on my dress I loved it but I had doubts it was the "one" because it wasn't anything like what I pictured my dress would look like. I thought I wanted a big ball gown with a tulle skirt. The one I picked didn't have that, so I kept looking. Last weekend, I went with my Mom and My MOH to I DO BRIDAL. We had another appointment to look at another dress at a store in Snohomish later in the day, but once I tried this one on again and saw my mom's reaction, I knew this was the one. She had seen me in bridal dresses before, but this was the only one she reacted to. So, this one was the "one" and I love it.

I have not done too much lately for the wedding. We have our planning session in December, so I guess I am just waiting for that so I can I get our details decided. I have done a couple things though. We found our bridesmaid dresses from David's bridal. My girls will order them before Christmas and order dyed shoes to match.

I also picked up my Tiara that I had ordered and found some great earrings that I absolutely love.

We are also trying to decide between 2 different flower girl dresses. One is at David's Bridal and is all white. I can't seem to find a picture of it. This one is cheaper than the other one and very cute. The girls would get dyed shoes in our color.

The other dress is an Alfred Angelo and is also cute but its kind of costly. Around $140. The other is around $100. Which one should we go for? Any suggestions?

My DF and I just got back from California where we attended his sister's wedding. It was beautiful. I absolutely loved her dress and her veil. My DF loved her centerpieces.

The idea of spending $150-$200 on a veil is very hard for me to swallow. I don't plan on wearing it for very long, just the ceremony and pictures. When I got my dress, my Mom offered to make me my veil. When I asked her about it again, she didn't remember saying that. So, now I am not to sure what she is planning. My DF and I just went to his sister's wedding and her veil was beautiful. She loaned it to me and I believe it will go great with my dress, but I don't want to hurt my Mom's feelings. So, I am not sure what I am going to do. I will have to wait to make a decision once I get my dress in February so I have some time.

So, we have been trying to get as much figured out as we can before our planning session in December. Its difficult since we are so far away from Disney. We are 3 hours behind Florida time so by the time I get off work, it is already 6pm there and most people are off work.

So this week I kind of figured out our welcome party/rehearsal dinner. We were originally just going to do a rehearsal dinner, probably at the Rainforest Cafe or the T-Rex restaurant. I called their group events line and they sent me their menus. They have a minimum of $40 per person.
Well, one day my Mom and I were talking and she thought we needed to have some kind of Welcome party. We figure we are going to have about 80 people at the wedding, so maybe around 50 people at the welcome party, depending on when people fly in and how tired they are after their flight. That being the case, Rainforest is out. After calling Saratoga Spring, where we are staying, we decided to just do a Welcome Party in our room since we have a 2 bedroom villa. We will probably just get frozen lasagnas from Costco or something like that. The other option is to get sandwiches and have everyone meet us at the pool. I talked to someone at Saratoga an they said that we can bring our own food to the pool, but there is no pool hopping between resorts. We have about 5 2 bedroom villas booked at Saratoga so we will have a lot of people anyways. I don't think they will card us at the pool if some people are from a different resort. We will have so many room keys, we can just show them that. Plus most of the people there will actually be staying at Saratoga.

So that is our idea for the Welcome party. As for the rehearsal dinner, I think we are going to do a lunch instead. Probably at Portobello, but I am not sure yet. We are hoping that we can do lunch around noon and then do the rehearsal afterward. Then after the rehearsal, people can go and rest up or go to the parks before the welcome dinner.

When I talked to our planner, Carol, she said to go ahead and make our dining plans and we would arrange the rehearsal around them. I guess we can't figure out our rehearsal time till a month before the wedding.

So, we just have to finalize our rehearsal lunch and that is done.

We also went and got my DF fitted for his tux. We decided to go through Men's Warehouse. I called the one in Winter Garden, Fl, to see what I needed to do and what their policies are. I guess, that since our wedding is on Saturday, MW will deliver the tuxes to our hotel the Wednesday before. We have until that Thursday at 4pm to call them if there are any changes. If there are changes, then they will made and the new tuxes will be delivered to our hotel by that Friday or Saturday morning before the wedding.

That being said, we will be in Florida the week before the wedding and so will one of our Groomsmen. The others and the Dads will be flying in Thursday night so they will have to pick up their tuxes at home and fly with them to Florida, but they can leave the in Florida and the Winter Garden store will pick them up so they don't have to fly home with them.

For the tuxes, we decided to go with the Kenneth Cole, black, 2 button design with white shirts with no pleats. My DF will be wearing the black Tuscany vest with the Jade stripe Euro tie. The Groomsmen and my brother will will wear the same tie but with the matching Jade Tuscany vest.

For the Dads, they will wear the same thing, but with a Silver Tuscany vest and silver stripe Euro tie. I am very excited about these.

I found my garter! I am so excited to get it. I bought it from an Etsy seller, PerfectGarter. I think it will match my dress beautifully. We are not doing a garter toss, so technically I didn't really need one, but I love the idea of having one.

Are you DVC members? If so, you can pool hop to any resort pool except YABC and AK, you just need your members card. Although, Saratoga is my favorite resort and I love the pool area, especially the one in Congress Park because you get a fabulous view of DTD. You can also use the picnic area by the Congress Park pool (I've only ever stayed in Congress Park so I can't speak for the other areas) if you wanted to grill up hot dogs and hamburgers.

We are actually not DVC members. We are Worldmark and RCI owners. Our timeshare is on a point system so we use our points with RCI to book the DVC rooms. Its a great system. I don't know what Congress park is. Where exactly is that? Thanks for the idea.

My DF and I figured out our favors. I found this idea from another Disney bride and I am so thankful. We were originally going to just do the mickey rice krispy treats, but then my DF wanted to give our guests something that they could take home from our reception. So, we decided to give our guest lanyards. We bought about 500 disney pins from ebay, so we are going to give our guest the lanyards and about 5 pins, along with insturctions about pin trading. We are hoping to give everyone different pins so they can trade during the wedding if they want or take them to the parks after the wedding. We are super excited about this idea and we hope everyone likes it.

Here is our lanyard:

We will probably package them in a cute white box, with a teal ribbon and our monogram. Something like this:

Here is our monogram, thanks to Shadowryter:
