HEY!! Is that MY old face you are referring to?

Can't wait to get the Geezer pins shined up and ready to sail!

You guys might want to take a look at the Cruise Critic boards. They have it broken down into the different ports and some people review the various tours that they took or were available for them. Here is the link if anyone is interested : http://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=62

John I am depending upon you, otherwise I will wear out my Kindle when the CG's are playing and there will be empty seats in Cove Cafe before bedtime.

Albert, I think John is coming round nicely. He was asking today what I was thinking of doing either side!!!!!!!!! In our house it usually goes with me making all the suggestions and John throwing out most if not all of them.
Big decision. Do we fly over to Orlando for a couple of weeks prior and fly over a couple of days before the cruise or do we miss Orlando out altogether!
Do we stay around LA, go up to SF or go to Arizona? Do we go to DL for any time at all? Oh dear.
It would be lovely to see you guys either in the Los Angeles or in the San Francisco area.
We might just make it to SF Noel.We had a couple of days there in 1996 or thereabouts and have always wanted to go back. We would also love to do the drive from LA again. We drove down last time which I know is the best direction, but it was foggy just about all the way, as it could be again of course!
We will just have to see the flight prices and how we make our decisions, money, John's thoughts etc.
I love hearing about all of you who are planning on doing vow renewals. Sp sweet! I say do it...take it from me, we are not always guaranteed tomorrow with the love of our lives. I only got 14 years with mine, married for 7 1/2 of those.I miss my Dh terribly.
I love HAWAII and cannot wait for this cruise. I have been to Maui twice and Kauai once, both with small children. Dh and I went to Oahu about 15 years ago. We stayed about 5 days in Waikiki and then stayed another 5 days in North Shore. I loved shopping in the outdoor shopping areas near Waikiki. I look forward to exploring here and seeing how different it is from 15years ago. LOL Once I booked this trip I had to go back and look through my Hawaii pics. I don't have any from Ohau on this cpu, but here are some from Kauai in 2007 and Maui just last August. Since we have always had our kids with us (with the excpetion of Oahu,) we never got out to do the more adventurous activities. I will be doing the more adventurous ones (hopefully) on the cruise for both me and Dh.

Just a couple pics from the sugar cane train. Just a short train ride up the coast. My kids love it! We always end it with some yummy shaved ice with the syrup of your choice!

Can you say small world afterall ? I am literally up the road.![]()
Gydell on this cruise lives in Atlanta and visits Myrtle Beach every June. We are having a mini-meet Sat. June 11th at Dick's Last Resort. I have never been but heard lots about it.
we could tell them to tone down for kids or maybe just pick a new place. It's fun to meet new people and talk about the cruise.

We will have to get off the ship at Ensenada to replenish my Mexican Vanilla supply

We stayed at the Marriott years ago with the twins were in sixth grade so we have seen that part of the island really grow. .
I looked at the itinerary map, and we're sailing the wrong way from Hilo to Maui, so there is no possible way for us to sail Kilauea at night. If you look at the map posted by birkner here (click arrow next to birkner),we sail up from Hilo directly to Kahalui, instead of down around towards Kailua-Kona by Kilauea! I'm so sad, that was the most beautiful and awesome sight watching the lava flow into the ocean.

So sorry about your husband. I lost mine this past August. We would have been married 34 years in October. We were supposed to go to Hawaii for our 30th anniversary, but his mom had a serious stroke and passed away so we had to cancel. I am traveling solo on this trip and so it will be bittersweet since he won't be here to enjoy it with me. But I have some good friends on this cruise and hope to make many more. Looking forward to meeting you on the ship.
That's the first thing I check out when we booked. BUMMER!
I wouldn't put to much stock in the map on the web site. That's just my opinion. I am sure the Nav officer on the Wonder has not even thought about our course around the islands. I would think they are to busy charting the courses through Alaska.
That is so true. We were on the EB 2005 PC cruise and they kept switching things up so I can see them doing this on this first sailing as well.
