Thanks, we are going to take her to the vet for advice before I bring her. I am flying Virgin American, and they do allow small aniimals in the passenger compartment for a $100 fee. I don't really want to "put her to sleep" but I know she's not a good traveller in the car, so I would at least like her to be drowsy. I am going to get the pet carrier now and put her favorite play mat in it so it won't smell new to her. That should help!

Some cats respond better to tranquilizers than others. An uncle (who's also a doc) told us about a sedated cat that had an adverse reaction -- made the animal totally hyper instead of calm.

Oh.. We aren't cancelling!.. I just booked a 10B instead. Something a bit bigger and with the split bathrooms. There are 4 of us, 2 of which are almost 5yr old, and a 2 yr old boy, so a bit bigger is a bit better!

:surfweb: GREAT CHOICE!!!! :cool2:...We love the split bath!

Robin & Angel "D" :thumbsup2

I have done it in the past, most recently for the Panana Canal cruise. I have been told by several people at DCL incuding my friend in Shoreside Conceargie that is the way to do it. You just can't have more than 4 rooms and no more than 10 people linked together.

That was my understanding as well, but I could not do it online and when I called and spoke with a human I was told I would have to wait to book them. We had 3 rooms, 8 people. :confused3 Of course, I have no friends in Shoreside Conceargie. ;)

There is a way to do it online. It is in the modify reservation. By the way it worked just fine for the cruise I am taking in three weeks.

I have my Nov MR ressie linked with friends who are first time cruisers. I was able to book them (with me) for Palo brunch and high tea but they could not book excursions or the spa until their window opened up.

Congratulations on the new baby, Hayley! There's nothing quite like a new baby in the family (my newest DGD Mia will be one month old on Thursday and she, DD, and DGD Riley are still staying with us).

Joanne, it sounds like you GET YOUR PINK ON! every day with all those girls under one roof. In my family we have one girl every generation and all the rest are boys. That's why I NEED to get my PINK ON....way too many boys all around me all the time. Currently, I live with four adult males and me. I just can't get even one other girl to be around. That's why I need to get my PINK ON!

So, perhaps my difficulty was that I was trying to book 6 of us for Palo and there might not have been avail. for 6. It was excursions I was talking with the rep at DCL about and was told I could not book them until their window opened. It becomes such a chore when you are trying to coordinate for a group. :sad2: Neither of the couples we were sailing with even own a computer, so it is all up to me.

One time I booked for a silver at platinum booking....it was for my nephew and I was buying. I think as long as he was connected to my card for payment, they let me do it. That was for everything.....excursions and Palo.

Yes, I think you need the extra room for sure!

Yup, even the dog's a girl. I was joking w/DH that we should answer the phone "Joanne and Wayne's House of Estrogen." :rotfl2: DH is wonderful w/the girls and they adore him right back. :grouphug: <Guess which one is Wayne. ; )

With cabins opening and people cancelling I am sure the roll call list is not up to date. Good luck to all who are trying to upgrade or change their cabins. It usually works out in the end.

We just booked a week at WDW for Dec. :cloud9::woohoo: Maybe that will hold us until April. :goodvibes

We are going Oct 26th-Nov 1st.. That is going to be the DH's Mickey fix, because he is not going on this cruise with us. I am excited for WDW almost as much as Hawaii!..But, I think alot of the excitement is watching my boys have so much fun, and to see the excitement on their faces!.. It's more about them than it is me! pirate:

My son just booked me a flight to San Francisco the first week of December! He's moving to Palo Alto for his job the middle of October, but he has no apartment, he has to buy a car, and the first week of November he's going to New York City for his job.

So......he's leaving the cat with us (our grandcat) and I am taking her out to him in December. I have never flown with an animal (only Chuck and Patrick) anybody got any advice?

This is probably not the right thread to ask this, but you all seemto know everything!

Connie

Michael got a job!!! :yay:

(Ted did too !)
