GOOD Morning, Happy Cruisers!

I sure hope this is how they run things in LA for us. But we were told in October 2011 that the Platinums could board as soon as we arrived and our adult kids, who are silver would have to board when their number came up. I so hope they have fixed that!!

Are they in the same cabin with you? That might make a difference. Ours were all in the same cabin. ALthough, On the WBPC last year, we were two cabins and all boarded together - gotta have that boarding photo!

My wife and I are on the last Disney Wonder Cruise to the Mexican Riveria before the Wonder goes on your Hawaii cruise.

We are wondering if it is possible to get any "Last Second" deals to stay on the ship and go to Hawaii ?

We got the time since we are retired. We would do our 7 day Mexican Riveria trip and continue on for the 15 day Hawaiian cruise. Has anyone done this before?

If you wait until you get on board to book, you may well have to change cabins. ON the other hand, you'll likely get your 10% on-board booking discount and some shipboard credit. I'd do it!

On the three long cruises that I have done, they offered a group presentation for prospective members on every sea day. If you do become a member on board, they also had a second member celebration about half way through the cruise on both the WBTA 2010 and the PC 2011 so you should be able to attend a member celebration during the cruise.

Since you DID pipe up I hate to disagree with you - BUT - Formal night is probably not the best choice - becausee thhere are lots of special backdrops - the photographers are going nuts with set up, and people who 'care' about formal photos are busy geetting dressed in their formal wear, hair done and all that.

How about the night AFTER formal night - we're at sea but I don't think anything special is on the agenda?

The second sea day is not spectacularly good for me either as I have a jewellery workshop from 3:00 to 4:00 PM that day. Not only do they have a habit to overrun, but I also have to tidy up afterwards and do not want the jewellery stuff with me during the photo. If we do it later than 4:00 PM, we get in the way of them setting up for the portraits and character photos.

So if we work on the premises that we should do it sooner rather than later during the cruise, how does 4:00 PM on May 2nd sound to everybody?

There will also be a PJ Breakfast. Hayley (LittleDisneyLovers) has kindly agreed to act as a contact for this. We are still in the process of finding a day, but it will take place at Beach Blanket Buffet at 9:00 AM. I will post more details once I have a date.

So the only thing that we are now missing is hosts for the whiteboards. If nobody volunteers to host a whiteboard by Monday, I will just delete this from the Navigator.

My roommate's platinum. I'm assuming I'll be able to board with the other platinii, even if I get to the port before she does. My friends have a car so I'm driving there with them (but not my roommate, she is on a different plane.)

I haven't checked in yet so I haven't done the "pick a port time" bit but if we're driving from Long Beach I don't know what time we might get there. Probably early.

After remembering the looooooong length of time it took for me to get my priority-tagged bags at LAX, I decided my 5pm landing time didn't really work with a quick DL fix Saturday night. So, I'll be staying over by LAX (either the Sheraton or the 4 Points) that night and should be getting to the port early (11ish) as well.

Now THAT would be an indulgence. Not all day but in the afternoon.....Hedgie will be at the mascot picture meet. Thanks, but there is no way we will be able to accomodate everyone with a group photo. the organizers are just so great to get everything worked out. i shall just wait and see what time the photo op is.....

If you are linked to dis dining, either early or late, then your ressie did get linked with others when the dining reservatupion was made. i wonder if my new linked friends will want to help with paying the account....

I am so frustrated with the DCL website and its activity pages!! I want to print a list of all my booked activities...but will not do this since I changed one - day two of activity booking. I want to see exactly what is booked on any given day and all the thing says when I looked it up and get the 14 day trip planner is "port activity"...won't even link to a description.

I also wanted to make a list of all the scheduled activities Disney has at one particular port and that type of info is not in any handy form like it was before bookings opened. I think they have one of the more user unfriendly cruise sites out there!

Hopefully I will get a chance to call them tomorrow and see how they do this or if like other questions they can't "help" the web is what the web is and no CM seems to know how to navigate it either.

Oh...it also told when I went to look at calendar that I could not book anything unless the other FIVE groups I was "linked" with were online to book also. I am not linked with anyone

We are flying to LA a few days earlier than the cruise. After the cruise, we are flying from LA to Vegas and staying 5 days then flying from Vegas to home. Thanks for the question, I have to make sure I booked our flights from LA to Vegas.

Thank you to everyone that answered my question about DVC. Yes, we are looking to join the family! And, seeing that they may have incentives to book while we are on board seems like a sweet deal.

Also, thank you to those willing to answer any questions that I will have. I will gladly buy a round (or order some chocolate chip cookies as this seems to be the favourite here), to discuss how you guys like it.

I called this morning to ask just this question as we are platinum and are sailing with a couple that are silver. I spoke with "George" and he looked in the "rules" and said yes, they can board with us. They sailed with us to Alaska and we just waited with them on that cruise, their first. But, I had heard since then that they should be able to board with us so I decided to check as we really don't want to give up that perk. Hopefully, the folks at the port with have the same rule book to refer to.

My roommate won't be WITH me. She will likely be there later than me. Don't know if they'll let me board or if I have to wait for her or my own gold boarding time, whichever comes first. The friends I am arriving with are platinum but I'm not staying with them.

Well, maybe she won't be there so much later than me. Or maybe not later at all.

Isn't the normal tap water they make on the ship "distilled"?

Corinna, if what you're looking for is someone to have a whiteboard with room changes on it outside their door, I'll be happy to!
But if what you're looking for is someone to run a whiteboard project to provide all the rooms with whiteboards, like there has been on some cruises, no way Jose!

The board outage threw me for a loop too - and all I do is hang out here, not actually try to work with it. I was going to suggest that you just pick a day for the group photo since you have access to ALL the activities going on. Your suggestion is brilliant.

I called the regular DCL number the other day and asked about distilled water and they said no problem just tell the cabin steward when we got into our cabin and he would see that we get some...didn't need to pre-order. Also our medical "person" felt that cruise water was high enough quality that for a little over 2 weeks ship water would not hurt machine at all if distilled wasn't easily available....no minerals etc that usually hurt machines.

Thanks Judy, my DH just won't use tap water for his machine I'm sure water on the ship is safe enough like Linda said, it's probably more "distilled" then one in a jug.

Hi There DisneyManFamily4 - I'm eeyorelvr10 aka Laura. I'm in 6152 but I probably have 1 or 2 extra. I'm hoping that Corinna and Heather might include a "latecomers" group that is optional for anyone that came late. I accidentally (not ) got into all groups and since there are several of us that are doing all, I have a few extra. However, its the thought that counts right? And we are all "big" kids at heart. I don't usually label my gifts with my name and room number but I might this trip. I'm excited to get feedback on some of my gifts.

Thanks! Yes, it is the thought that counts. There's nothing like a Disney Cruise to make me feel like a kid again. Everyone's gifts are so creative! I have several pages in my scrapbook from my last cruise dedicated to all the FE gift pics. I hope mine measure up to everyone else's.

Awww. Thanks for doing the extra spreadsheet. I'm hoping there are a few more late comers out there, so you didn't go to all that trouble for just our two cabins.
What do whiteboard hosts do? I'm assuming hang a whiteboard on the door? Im in 7565, which is midship and don't mind doing it. Would it be a problem if we will be trying to upgrade at port, though? My boarding time is 12. Should I still get there as soon as the port opens to try to upgrade? Will they let me if I haven't checked in officially yet? I've never tried upgrading at port before, so I'm not sure exactly how it works.
