I have just returned from a 14 day WDW/Fantasy Maiden cruise....

What a WONDER(FUL), MAGIC(AL), DREAM(Y), FANTASY fulfilling vacation!!!

My amazing girlfriend (Halloween_gryl) managed to fill the room at Saratoga with balloons just before we sailed on the Fantasy and she propsed to me!!!! We are engaged!!! I AM SO HAPPY!!!

ok - back to inside voice....I also proposed to her while on the cruise - we had decided months ago that we both should propose - there are no rules for same gender couples so we are making it up as we go...and loving it!


now I have to leave her for 15 days for this amazing trip...we will be so sad to be apart, but are now SO excited to be planning our wedding!!!

(now I have to read almost 3 weeks of this thread....you guys have been pretty busy I am sure!!)

Corinna, if what you're looking for is someone to have a whiteboard with room changes on it outside their door, I'll be happy to!
But if what you're looking for is someone to run a whiteboard project to provide all the rooms with whiteboards, like there has been on some cruises, no way Jose!

The board outage threw me for a loop too - and all I do is hang out here, not actually try to work with it. I was going to suggest that you just pick a day for the group photo since you have access to ALL the activities going on. Your suggestion is brilliant.

I am sorry that I did not make myself a bit clearer. I am just looking for two people who are willing to have a white board and a white board marker outside their door where people can add room or other changes and central point for people to check for updates. Anybody who has a change can then just write it on the whiteboard and people can swing by to check for updates.

Awww. Thanks for doing the extra spreadsheet. I'm hoping there are a few more late comers out there, so you didn't go to all that trouble for just our two cabins.
What do whiteboard hosts do? I'm assuming hang a whiteboard on the door? Im in 7565, which is midship and don't mind doing it. Would it be a problem if we will be trying to upgrade at port, though? My boarding time is 12. Should I still get there as soon as the port opens to try to upgrade? Will they let me if I haven't checked in officially yet? I've never tried upgrading at port before, so I'm not sure exactly how it works.

I can't help with the port upgrades. I prefer the common bat cave with a single bathroom.

As for the whiteboard I think it may be a good idea if this is hosted by somebody who is confident that they will stay in the same stateroom.

On our Med cruise in 2010, they tried to upgrade us and my poor travel agent had to convince DCL to return us to our booked category. Since then we have had a "Do not upgrade" on our reservations.

I heard back from Dorothy at DCL and she has advised that there are no more venues available for private functions. She suggested that we have the Mascot Meet and Greet in the Promenade Lounge. So I will look at the planners tomorrow and decide on a date.

You could probably do Cadillac Lounge in the afternoon also. This is not a huge group and there are usually not many people in Cadillac in the afternoon. But, Promenade would be a great place also.

For the folks who are participating in the FE and candy swaps, I am putting together a list of DIS name, person w/the food allergy (with age, if a child), cabin #, and the foods that they're allergic to. I hope this will help avoid any possible problems with cruisers receiving things they can't enjoy. If you need to add someone to the list, please do so soon so Corinna can close out the mini-navigator. Thanks very much!

Please do not leave any candy for room 6643. DD Lindsay is on a strict diet and would appreciate not being tempted by any candy left in her FE. Also, I would appreciate no candy left in the FE for cabin 6645. I love chocolate but need to lose weight for Lindsay's wedding. I don't have much willpower so I'm better off not being tempted.

Hi Almaylou, welcome aboard! I'm 'balling' my yarn as we speak, but I'm crocheting. Wool always sounds like a good idea, but mine's acrylic.

The last time I could not get something to work on the DCL pages I called and TALKED to an IT guy. We finally decided that the page had not loaded completely so I closed everything, turned the computer OF, then ON, and reloaded the page. The missing link was then available right where it should have been.

Good try Jan, that's what I did....but it didn't work for me. I think the DIS needs to reboot and that may fix it. But for now, unless it changes, I'm stuck with black type only.

WOW....all those sea days and every venue is full. That's incredible. The Promenade Lounge works for me. It's one of my favorites.
