Does anyone know if DCL's hold a DVC information session? I never bothered to look on the last couple cruises.

Thanks

Roy

If you do not have an invitation to a DVC meet in your room, go to the DVC desk and ask.

I have still never seen anything about pre-ordering pins for the Hawaiian.

???????????????????????????????????

There was nothing about pins.

At one time there were some Hawaiian cruise items on the preorder page on the DCL website if you logged into it via departure port of LA. They were hard to see because the pictures are so small so we paid no attention.

The Candy swap spreadsheet has PaulaSillars in room 2538 and the FE list has her in 2583. Does anyone know which one is correct?

Thanks!

Good catch...I think this is typing mistake....but I would like to know which one is right too!

My roommate's platinum. I'm assuming I'll be able to board with the other platinii, even if I get to the port before she does. My friends have a car so I'm driving there with them (but not my roommate, she is on a different plane.)

I haven't checked in yet so I haven't done the "pick a port time" bit but if we're driving from Long Beach I don't know what time we might get there. Probably early.

Since you DID pipe up :thumbsup2 I hate to disagree with you - BUT - Formal night is probably not the best choice - becausee thhere are lots of special backdrops - the photographers are going nuts with set up, and people who 'care' about formal photos are busy geetting dressed in their formal wear, hair done and all that.

How about the night AFTER formal night - we're at sea but I don't think anything special is on the agenda?

Good Point....no formal night at 4:00....too hectic. I thought it might push on those with early dining....

So - try for Day 3.

Have fun, we'll miss you but that is what photoshop is for.....

this is a message to Bilbo (Ann and Albert). I have a question for you on Magic's shirt......I am still not sure where or if you want the border to go.....it takes up almost all the front of the shirt.

Look at some of the other mascot photo's.....they all have different type shirts on as far as the placing of the design......

I'm afraid to cut the fabric until I know for sure......It actually would look nice just without the border, too.

your decision!

OK, I have received payments from Dylan'sMom, Lgough, SMITH2615 and DJH597. I'm still looking for payments from georget, Mousseau and EyeDisneyCruise for the Aulani Transportation.

Thanks everyone! I look forward to meeting you on the cruise!

Did not know you were collecting. Sent you a PM

Yes they do. Are you looking into possibly becoming a member? There are a few of us on here that would love to help you out, myself being one of them. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

I might be late to the game here....:sad1:

but I was wondering if anyone knows the dinner schedule for our 15-night grand adventure to Hawaii? :confused3

Other than Pirates night pirate: on May 11th, does anyone know which nights are semi-formal? formal? or special theme nights? I'm guessing DCL will probably make one night to be luau theme or something.

On the MR cruise right now and they offered 2 DVC meetings. I missed them both but hope to go to one on the Hawaii cruise. For those of you who are members, I am sure I'll be seeking you out looking for your guidance and knowledge on the matter. I know it's based off points but done differently than my Marriott timeshare (of which, I don't completely understand how it all works...that was my Dh's job and now that my FIL has been handling it, I need him to sit me down and explain it all to me!)

We were told that people must board by their own CC category regardless of their roommates so our kids would have to board with SILVER even though we are PLATINUM but when we got to Port Canaveral, we just stayed together and walked on together and no one asked. But if you are alone they might make you wait for your number to be called. But it is LA and who knows :confused3

Where will you be that you cannot come after day 2?

I put the design on the back of the Duffy shirts and John's Platypus' shirt. For the fronts I tried to center one of the design elements on each side. The smaller mascots do not have the border design at all since it would not fit fully so for them I centered one of the design elements on the back and as much of a design on each side of the front as I could. The one dress I made has no border design at all as I had none available to use. (I am down to using other people's scraps and thank them for their generosity :yay:)

If you're already a DVC member, there is usually one big gathering for members. And there are several (on a long cruise like this one) for prospective members. Usually there will be some good incentives for buying DVC while on the cruise if you want to buy directly from Disney and not resale.

As for the boarding with platinum it is a little different with kids. They aren't going to say kids are to stay in the terminal without the parents. I'm still gold and my friends are all platinum. I will likely need to choose an early boarding time but then I don't know what happens if I miss it. Best to have a book ready to read in the terminal.

WOW - thanks so much for this......I think I will take all my dry cleaning to DCL. And I was overcharged for my last evening dress and it was short.....

Let the party begin! :banana::banana:

I just wanted to share this. It has become a bit of a tradition that I commission a special piece of jewellery form a fantastic jewellery artist in New Hampshire for every cruise. This is this year's edition:

photo36.jpg

This is still work in progress, but I really love it.

Corinna

Corinna, it is lovely; can't wait to see it on you.

We were on the Fantasy MV - DCL did an INCREDIBLE job of avoiding lines and mobs (and for those of us that were also on the Dream's MV this was a difference of night and day)!

They had an RSP for pins & limited edition collectibles - apparently everyone got what they wanted because by the 3rd or 4th day the stores had many of these out for sale.

The MV champagne flutes were in our stateroom when we arrived - one per person. They still had free champagne at the sailaway but it was in plain plastic flutes. (The Dream MV saw people collecting cases of the glasses, while many others were unable to even get one).

The Ducky Williams litho was given out already signed by Ducky - thus avoiding the near riot that occurred at his signing on the Dream MV when crew members attempted to re-direct the line.

And best of all - in the embarkation Navigator and on signs placed all around the stores:
"Maiden voyage, inaugural, & fantasy logo merchandise is limited to two per person, per size, per style." Because of this, the stores were fully stocked with tee shirts, hats, hoodies & all other maiden voyage merchandise for the entire cruise.

Debbie

Sounds good; hope they took notes ;).

There are generally a few of them. If you are interested, we can help.

We have DVC and love it...we've never gone on so many vacations EVER! If you want to talk, we're definitely available. We have found the best deals onboard (both of our DVC purchases were made on cruises).

ONE LAST TIME!! This is your last chance for getting your info included in the mini-navigator that Corinna is putting together!

Hi Everyone,

If you have previously responded to me, you can totally ignore the following message. Please be aware that my list only includes those who have contacted me via FB or DISboard, since there were so many changes to the original spreadsheet.

To help Corinna put the mini-Navigator together, I volunteered to help gather information for a couple of sections:

1) Celebrations during the cruise. For this we would need DIS Name, first name(s), date and what is being celebrated.

2) Pages with pre- and post-cruise stays. For this we would need DIS name, first name(s), dates, and where people are staying.

I know there is some information on the DIS spreadsheet, but at this point I don't know how accurate that is, considering all the changes that have been made so I have not used it.

So please contact me if you would like your information to be included in the Hawaiian mini-Navigator. Thank you! (You can PM me if you are more comfortable with that.)
