Can someone tell me about the "Palo Brunch" that is being organized and also about the "Scavenger Hunt" ??

Hi Lisa....welcome aboard matey!!! Have you ever cruised Disney before? Palo is an adults only restaurant on board. They do brunch, High Tea and dinner. They are not to be missed. There is a minimal additional charge for eating at Palo's but dare I say, so worth it!!!! I think our fellow cruisers are putting together a list to do a group brunch at Palo's. In my opinion, brunch is their best meal....although I like them all.

The scavenger hunt is probably just that. Looking for a list of items around the ship. I have not done one of these, but I have seen others on the ship doing it. It looked like a lot of fun.

Please join in with as many activities as you'd like. Disney will give you a navigator filled with many various activities and then we have our own going on as well.

I have tried to find a company that would make the shirts for the kids. I just couldn't come up with anyone who would do it, at least not for the limited number we would have and at a reasonable cost.

So I thought of another idea. What about tee-shirts with a similar design?

I am sure there are more out there, but I found one company that does kid's tees. It is called Custom Ink. They will let me put the designs out on their site and you can access them and order direct from them, using the designs. You pay them and they ship to you. All I would do is provide the design files. You can order them in the white or a bunch of other colors.

I can also put them on a public Flicker page. That way, you can access them and use them anyway you might want.

I have ordered these shirts from Vista print, just to see how they look. The quality isn't wonderful but it is ok and the price is great, especially with all the coupons and specials you can find (I can help you with them too). I thought they would be fine to wear under our shirts. Unfortunately, they thought they would have kid's shirts by year end, but they don't. I have also used the designs to have other stuff printed, such as banners.

If you have any idea for another version of the design you might want, and need help with getting it ready for a tee shirt, magnet, etc. I will try to help. Can't promise I can do, but I'll give it a shot. We just got Photoshop Elements 10 and it just about does it for me.

I would love to be able to access your designs from your flicker page because you have great ones!! And I can put them on magnets, candy bar wrappers for Secret Mickey..and T-shirts for my DS.

We're staying at the Doubletree the night before the cruise and we'll arrive in the afternoon. I understand that there is a shuttle that runs into to town as well as to the port. I'm interested in going into to town on the afternoon that we arrive. Does anyone know what kind of stores will be at that location? We'll be taking the shuttle since we're not renting a car.

I just answered my own question.....I googled San Pedro and found the hotel and the cruise terminal. It's not far at all. Then I called the hotel and asked about the shuttles. They go to the port and they go anywhere within a 5 mile radius. I asked what kind of stores were located within that radius and they answered a grocery store and a drug store. I asked specifically for a liquor store and they said yes. I'm set and ready to go then.

Very good question....I didn't know they have shuttle which runs to town...but wouldn't mind to visit a store for few additional things We are staying at DoubleTree too.
