We went to see Wicked today at the Pantagos theater in Hollywood. What a GREAT GREAT show. I looooved it!!

DW saw Wicked in NY a couple of years ago with her mom. She loved it too. In fact it is playing in Orlando (Bob Carr Auditorium) next week, but I believe all the tickets are sold out. DW explained the story of Wicked and it sounds interesting. That is, why the green witch was 'wicked' - she was misunderstood or something. The story of Oz before "The Wizard of Oz."

The same trip, she also saw Beauty in the Beast. She enjoyed that show.

Last year, I took the whole family to see The Lion King in Orlando. I was so worried that my DD4 would not last thru-out the entire show. She did. She got a little antsy, however, after the intermission, but that stopped when we initiated plan A - (M&M's). :thumbsup2

To all those traveling this week, have a fun and safe trip. Hope to cya soon.

I soooo wish Michael (my hubby) would get on this thread...Hint Hint! www.valtool.blogspot.com

HAHAHA!~ We were just looking at Wicked tickets tonight! We saw it 2 years ago and its fabulous..Seriously, it brought some tears to my eyes but then again I cry at anything..!!!!

Now, head over to Michaels blog and tell him what a cool bunch of people we are!

and if you dont, thats okay too!

Good morning everyone. Time for a Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah Tip Of The Day

Today's tip is to help you stay healthy on the cruise. You've all heard of Norwalk - some of us more than we'd like. While there hasn't been a Norwalk outbreak recently the lessons learned from it can help us all.

The key? Wash your hands, wash your hands, wash your hands! Seems simple but it is amazing how many people don't do it.

So here's your tip to make sure you and your child are washing long enough. Water, soap, start rubbing and then sing "Happy Birthday". Yep by the time you sing the birthday song you've rubbed long enough to get rid of those germs then rinse and dry.

So "happy birthday" and here's to a great germ-free cruise!

I can't believe it...I only have 4 days of work left...I still have so much shopping to do. I have no idea when we are going to fit it in. I need to get a mat for a frame and markers to be signed. I know there is more but my brain is going in so many circles I can't think right now. But the best news is....THERE ARE ONLY FOUR MORE DAYS OF SCHOOL LUNCHES TO PACK AND FOUR MORE DINNERS TO COOK!!!!!!!!

I'm getting so dang excited!!!! It's gonna be so great already knowing you guys and having folks to party with during the sail away party and maybe other ones too!!!!! Don't have to worry about making the right first impression -- you guys already know what I'm like warts and all!!!!!

I got nosy and started reading some of the posts from the April 19 Western DCL Cruise. They are so excited as the post above shows. These are the folks who will be getting off the ship as we prepare to board. I hope they leave the place in 'ship shape.' :rotfl2:

ALL'S QUIET ON THE 'EASTERN' FRONT

Anyone hear crickets?

Everyone's heads should be spinning right about now. We really ARE leaving in 12 days and there is so much to do. This IS crunch time!! Stress levels have increased and some of the excitement has slightly subsided. We are making final preparations. [I shoulda been a psychologist].

But the good news is, once all this preparation stress passes we will all be able to just relax and have a good time. :cloud9:

Nope the head isn't spinning. Stress levels aren't high either. There are things that Mark and I have to get done both at home and at work but the plan for the cruise itself has been in place for so long that the final prep work is really just fine tuning.

To those who are stressed just take a deep breath. You'll be fine. After all you'll soon be sailing on the Disney Magic!

I was trying to explain the sudden silence. Figured everyone was out doing their last minute shopping and preparations.

We're still not ready. DW has an exam tomorrow and a comprehensive final next week. One of these days we're going to have to shop.

Ok my head is spinning...our van just decided not to work!!! We are driving to FL. The soonest appointment I can get is wends...that leaves one day before we leave...what if they have to order parts???? Oh my goodness...please send some pixie dust our way:scared:

I am in a daze really. It doesn't seem real that we will be on a DISNEY cruise in only 12 days!!!!!!!!! All this waiting all these months, and now it hasn't fully "hit" me yet! :rotfl:

Now that would have me stressed. Better now than while you were on the road. Here's hoping it gets fixed quickly! pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:

Patty hope you and Mark do get a chance to stop by the Adult quiet pool along with everyone else that is looking for a break. Other wise we may see other crazy cruisers as we walk to the free beverage station.

Thanks for the Pixie Dust...I seem to be the only one stressed here. Chris says it is going to be fine. He doesn't feel that it is anything major and at the most he says it could take a couple days to fix even with ordering parts. He also said worst case scenario is that we leave on Sat Morning...does he know how much stress that is...I waited like 409 days for this vacation I refuse to wait one more day...lol! I am so happy we weren't planning on driving straight to the cruise that would be real stress:rotfl:

Mike you might see Mark and I at the adult pool. Or you might see us by the kids pool playing LRC. :lmao:

Just wanted to say "hi" and see if I'm the only one who hasn't started packing yet? The packing will begin this weekend...otherwise I might need something that I would have to end up digging out of the suitcase!

I can't believe that after waiting almost a year for this cruise, it is a mere 12 days away! Please say a prayer that our Delta flight doesn't get cancelled next Friday! We are scheduled to depart New Orleans at 11:40 a.m., but someone told me Delta is going to be pulling the same stunt AA just did. I sure hope they don't make me get UGLY!!!

See everyone soon,
Dawn

All I've done so far is get the suitcases out of the attic, and we've been throwing things in one of them (shoe holder, snorkles, etc.).

Fingers crossed that nobody gets their flight cancelled. :thumbsup2
Also, that Laura gets her van fixed.
