The fifth book was just release two days ago, and it takes place the the Disney Dream.

I am currently reading the first book in the series, so that I can read them in order!

Thanks a lot Robin. I downloaded a sample of the first book. Now I'm stuck on it. Of course I don't have a bookstore even remotely close to me!

Nothing yet here. We actually got upgrade from a 9C guarantee to a 9A when we got our luggage tags, but I would love to get a veranda. I guess we will see what happens.

I tried to take advantage of the military discount that was released last week, but it was only valid to new bookings..... I really was hoping for a verandah! I asked if I could get upgraded at port and I was told that is a possibility. I also asked how some people get called by DCL to get upgraded for free. I was told it happens to rooms that need service.

I will continue to pray that I get a call from DCL for an upgrade!! If I don't, I know where I can crash ( emtmom0104 )!!!

Haha. I told you that you guys are welcome! I think the only upgrade I can get is concierge. That's probably a slim chance though I just keep telling myself I need to make it through spring break this week. They are back to school for a week and a day before we leave. The kids made a ring coutdown an tear off a ring everyday. They are getting excited. I need to get moving on packing!

So excited,,just got all my stuff together to make the FE's for the kids and hope to have adults done by Tuesday. Question: did you guys make labels/stickers for everyone? Still trying to figure that one out without handprinting everything. Still have to make my FE

Does anyone know what movies are going to be playing? I think I heard Chimpanzee but I don't want to see that one,,,sorry,,,I know some animal is going to die they always do and my daughter and I are criers!

Yes, there will be all kinds of character meet-n-greets both onboard, in the terminal, and on Castaway Cay. The times and characters will be listed in the Navigator each day. I suggest you keep an autograph book and camera handy at all times.

Also, you can turn an item like a picture mat, pillow case, t-shirt, etc, in at guest services when you get on board and they will have the characters autograph it for you. It will then be returned to your stateroom the last night of the cruise. Here is the pillowcase I had for one of my children last cruise:

If you do something like that, I would suggest putting the item and a sharpie or fabric marker in a big ziplock bag, along with some candy of some sorts for the CMs.

I think they allow 1 item per child to be turned in. We were also able to do photo mats last trip as well. These items were our favorite souveniers.

Here are the characters I remember seeing on the Dream: Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Goofy, Donald, Daisy, Peter Pan, Captain Hook, Captain Jack Sparrow, Max, Chip, Dale, Tiana, Cinderella, Ariel, Aurora, Belle, Snow White, & Remy.

Also, you will see the characters in different clothing throughout the cruise. At Embarkation, they will all be in sailor suits. At different points they will be in pirate garb, island shirts, swimming clothes... so you will have a chance to get pictures with them dressed differently than in the parks. On pirate night, all will be in pirate costumes. And also on Pirate night, Jack Sparrow will be out for photos and autographs. Here is us with Jack on the Dream

I think I enjoy meeting the characters as much as my kids do.

There is a good bet that Chimpanzees will be showing because it will just have been released. As for the others, they will probably show one of the Pirates of the Carribean movies on pirate night.

I am going to call DCL the week before so they can tell me what is showing then.

Definitely. Pretty much everywhere there is a ships photog there will also be a CM. The CM will gladly take pictures using your camera.

There shouldn't be any problem with one for each child. We used the Sharpies that were made for fabric. My DS's is starting to run a little where his head always hits, but it is not terrible. I am not sure if something else would work better or not.

If you wanted color, you could always put several different colors in the bag and they could use them.

My kids love theirs. If anyone wants the design I used, PM me with your email address and I can send it to you. I got the graphic off the Disboards and I used Word to insert the text.

That is really cool. My son has a ton of Legos, but he would never have just the right color.... I would go broke if I asked him to make that.

I saw a picture a couple months ago where a guy had made a huge replica of the Pacific Princess (The Love Boat). It was amazing... The picture I saw had Gavin McCloud (Captain Stubing) stopping by to look at it.

Wow that is awesome. I can't even show it to Dylan or there will be Legos everywhere! Kinda the last thing I need right now while I'm packing all of their toys up. We found out we have a defective carpet from the mill and now they are coming out on Friday to re carpet my ENTIRE house not what I want to be doing just before we leave. I can't even finish pack my suitcases hopefully I will get it all in order by Friday night and at least back in the right rooms so I can pack next weekend after the 5k with mydaughter and our girl scout troop.
