How did you all make spa resverstion before time? :

Several people booked the REAS package. It includes couples massage ressie(or some other spa service), Palo ressies and some other goodies. They were able to pre-book at the Spa and Palos.

No docs here yet! :(

Hi to Kaitlin, Tanner, Megan, Linda, Mitchell, Kayla, Kimberley...Moms' (and family)! My daughter, (CC) - 10 and her brother, (Little Dude) - 8 have already made some really nice cyber friends through the kids thread, and we're all looking forward to meeting them and you. The kids want to spend time in the lab, play hide and seek and visit Scoops. DH and I are looking forward to spa (me), sports bar or any pool/bar combo (him), good food (both) and downtime (both, exclamation point).

This is our first cruise, but I feel like I am well prepared with all the info from the boards.

Thanks! Deb :flower:

Just curious, is anyone else still waiting for docs?

Still waiting. DU told us that Disney was mailing them out and they should be here within the week.

OK, thanks! It's comforting to know that I shouldn't panic yet. Hope we all see those docs soon!

WooHoo....our docs arrived yesterday! Flights are little screwy but we can deal with it....cannot wait. It is coming fast!!

Spoke to disney today....a little upset about the flights.....

I booked over a year ago and expected direct flights what I got was:

JFK to Atlanta to Orlando....same return flights!

Dont know if any other Long Islanders got their flights yet.....

I may send DCL a flaming e-mail tomorrow and see if they will do anything for me...(on board credit or something)...as it is I'm not going to get to the boat till at least 1-1:30 at best.......any thoughts? :sad2:

My only thought might be for you to call instead of writing an email and perhaps try the "I was disappointed..." approach first. More bees with honey and all that jazz... you can always turn it up a notch later.

Hey Lampman, that is exactly the reason why I booked my own air, last years cruise, we had to to switch planes in atlanta, we had to leave our house at 3 am to get to the airport (Laguardia), and I don't believe we boarded the boat until 1:00, it was ridiculous. The first day of our cruise was so rushed, and we were frazzled by the time dinner came around. Its kind of difficult to get an 8 year old up at 3 am (she was so excited at that time she was great), and expect her to not get bratty by 8:30 pm. I agree that if you book so far ahead, as I did as well, you should have a direct flight, I mean come on, that would only be fair. That being said, I booked my own air, I have a 6:55 a.m. direct flight out of Macarthur. We arrive in Orlando at 9:35, so we may just be the first ones on board. This trip should be must more relaxed than last trip. I don't think you will get anywhere complaining to Disney, whether your nice to them or not, they buy those seats in bulk, and thats how they save money. By the way, my cruise last year, without the air would have been $1000 cheaper, so that means of course that they charged $1000 for the air, I paid $800 this year on my own.

Sorry to here about the flights Lampman! We've gotten on the ship about 1pm and it really isn't too bad. I hope they can change the flights for you but I doubt it since it seems everyone is trying to get out of NY that week. I know Southwest is sold out completely for that whole weekend out of ISP. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you! :goodvibes

Still no docs here but I did here from our TA that our waitlist for main dining went through! :cool1: We are so excited. Now instead of stressing over our dining I can stress about getting the kids and myself some formal wear LOL
Any ideas for last minute dresses on Long Island?

finally got our stuff last night. now the entire family is hyper. :Pinkbounc :bounce: :jumping1:
our flights are direct but that could be because we're coming from canada. we get to orlando airport at about 12:30 so we'll be on board a little late.
my husband's cousin has promised that drinks will be waiting for us. :drinking1

I got my formal dress at Macy's in Smithhaven Mall. As to the flights, this is the precise reason we booked our own airfare out of Islip. We leave on Friday with direct flights. We are staying overnight at the Radisson so that we can get to the ship early and be among the first in the terminal. We did this last time and it worked out great. The only direct flight we could get back to Islip was at 7:55 on Saturday night. We've decided to go to Downtown Disney and do Disney Quest that day and then have dinner in Downtown Disney before we head back over to the airport. No docs yet!

Got our docs today!! :cool1: Hope everyone who's still waiting comes soon!

I'll have to try Smithhaven mall tommorrow. I casually checked out a few stores but they seem to have mostly prom dresses. At 35 yrs old, I might look a bit silly with one of those on ;)

After reading Stimpys post checked with DCL and my dining has been changed as well....woo, hoo!!!! Made my day ...these boards are great...get those lime green Mickeys ready!!!!
