April 19, 2008 - Western - VERY Early Roll Call - Anyone??!!

I
Lilo62: if you do change your GC ressie to Native Way, let me know and I'll change it on the hyperlist. Is the Discover Mexico & Chankanabb a Disney excursion? I'm trying to note those becuase my goal for this list is that folks will know who they're going to be on excursions with before we leave and I figured this is a way to help identify which excursions folks are doing (i.e., so folks don't think it was the Disney one meant). Also, no, I didn't notice that your photo is smaller, but I can understand why. In the Showers of Happiness pic that I've put together you'll notice that Jack is on the Ariel view. He wasn't originally. In the original photo I started from there was someone else on there. Of course that HAD to change :rotfl2:

Okay... I'll post the hyperlist next. Other than that, I guess I'd better get ready for work :scared1:

Denise:

Discover Mexico and Chakanabb is indeed a Disney excursion. I believe it's new because it's not listed in my Birnbaum DCL 2007 book. It's listed on the DCL website tho when you want to pick excursion's; that's where I found it!

If anyone's interested, here's the link to the Discover Mexico Park:

http://www.discovermexico.org/

We wanted to do Xcaret the last time, but DH didn't put sunblock on (he burns thru 50) and got fried so we weren't able to do any outdoor stuff in Mexico thus we did Caverns instead. It wasn't a bad trade off!

WE booked it yessss I just called my hubby on his way home ( i think he was sleeping on the train:faint: and I woke him up:rolleyes1 ) read him
everything about the dune buggy tour and he said it sounds really neat "BOOK IT:cool1: "

Yeah! We're going to have so much fun!!!! :thumbsup2

Hey fellow cruisers....if anyone is interested in doing anything in Key West, here's a link to site that's offers great excursions, is cheaper than Disney and offers more of a variety!

I've used them the last 2 cruises and have NOT been disappointed at all. I HIGHLY recommend them! :goodvibes

OK, inform me:teacher:
I just looked at the spreadsheetand I am not sure what a couple of the items are

fish extender?
yankee swap?
pirate dress? I assume this is the pirate deck party?

Occasion dd birthday
room 6108

For those of you with kids in the oceaneer club... do they split the kids up by age? 3-5, 6-7? if so is there a way to keep the kids together? :confused3 My Daughter will be miserable if she is not with her brother.:scared1:

Yes, they will allow older children to participate with their younger siblings. I checked into that because my 5 year old son may want his 8 year old sister to be with him as well.

To all the DW's who are doing the Dune Buggy excursion and driving...make sure you go over ALOT of rough terrain (insert evil laughter here!!!!);)

Maybe I'll come off loosing some cruise weight!

I just tried to pull up reservations for our cruise. The only reservation left is a Cat. 5 for, get this, $ 8,107.60!

Looks like a full, full, boat!!! Has anyone been on a full capacity ship before? Do you feel like it's crowded?

-Joan

We have only cruised on school vacations or Christmas and it's always been a full boat. I don't have anything to compare it to, but it has always seemed fine.
Yes, the pool chairs can be hard to come by, and the shows are always crowded, but we've never felt like it was too much. My husband does not like crowds at all - he likes to have as much peace and quiet as possible on vacation and he loves DCL. The adult areas have always been busy but not overwhelmingly so. We know that the clubs are regulated for each age group so even when my kids were younger and did use the clubs we never had a problem. Plus we'll know half the boat just from this board so we'll all be friends by then ! :goodvibes

Myself, and my family will be participating in the Fish Extender.

I have been working out religiously now for 5 weeks and yeah I feel a bit more toned but those crazy pounds are not moving.

I just booked myself a massage and body wrap as a reward if I can lose 8 pounds before I go. I may have to cancel it if I can't do it.

Does anyone ever get back to their pre-baby weight? My last one was born almost three years ago now, and I am still fighting that dreaded last 10 pounds.

Maybe I should hide the scale away, no that won't work.

Ok No More Carbs  :sad1:

Hello everyone :dance3:

Joan: Could you please update my info
Fish extenders: no
Yankee Swap: yes
Pirate attire: no costumes, but shirt and some accessories pirate:

To those of you that are doing the dune buggies,we did the jeep excursion in Cozumel and it stated that you also needed to drive a stick but they were all automatics, maybe the same will apply.

Denise: As soon as one of my DDs help I'll send a pic.

Had my knee surgery today, all went well, now I get the family to wait on me for a change.Howlong do you think I can milk this for?:lmao:

Welcome to all the newcomers. Glad to see all the Ocean county people. We always see someone from Toms River on the ship:yay:

Denise :teacher:

msdisney Denise: Glad your surgery went well.

Hypermommy Denise: Thanks again for posting pics and doing all that techie stuff...It is great to put a face to the words! :thumbsup2

TechJPM: Think I may already have done it, but welcome to our group! :)

Joan: Didn't recognize you with the long hair!

Angie: Put the scale away..numbers on scales are :scared1:! You can weigh more than you used to if you are toned. Muscle weighs more than fat!

My diet is so-so. I have lost 8lbs..should be more though. I got to kick it up a knotch...after I have chinese food tonight! Gotta celebrate chinese new year and the year of the rat! Gung Hey Fat Choy! and no, I am not calling anyone fat! That is happy new year in Chinese!...quick funny teaching :teacher: story. I taught spec ed for 14 years and while one of my students was walking out to the bus, he yelled to a teacher (big man 6'2, 260lbs) with his articulation issues..gung hey fat choy and the teacher thought he said HEY YOU FAT BOY and he was really angry, until I explained it of course! Too funny! It is definately one of those classic teaching moments!

PRE-CRUISE MEET: If you haven't already done so...please update your attendance to this with a yes or no for attendance. The restaurant, FISHLIPS, takes reservations and I am in charge of that. Check out their website..it is not fishlips.com..I will find it and post it later.. And lets keep Joan on her toes updating that spreadsheet!

Someone, maybe DisneyDavo, or maybe not...can't remember who said it and I am feeling too lazy to check back said they were doing the dune buggy excursion but not with Disney. We (my family, Joan and Cheryl) aren't either...perhaps we will all be together. I think ours is through Islandmarketing ltd. or something like that..and once again...too lazy to check that too! My apologies to DisneyDavo if it is not you and my apologies to whomever it is that I may be forgeting!

Catch ya all later! Michelle

At the bottom of my second to last message it has another cruiser...
They are new to this, so I am asking to have them on the list...
