For those of you with kids in the oceaneer club... do they split the kids up by age? 3-5, 6-7? if so is there a way to keep the kids together? My Daughter will be miserable if she is not with her brother.

Since we have had so many new folks joining us in the past couple weeks, I've been asked to explain the "Yankee Swap" again. We will be having a "Yankee Swap" at our meet on Saturday for those who are interested. What it involves is bringing a small, wrapped, inexpensive gift (valued at no more than $10.00) to the meet. Some ideas of gifts to bring are: cruise/beach/Disney themed items or something special from your hometown. But truly, anything that you would enjoy is a great gift to bring.

Families can bring one gift (and then get one gift) or families can choose to have each member bring a gift ( and obviously each one will then take a gift also). There was some talk a while back about feelings potentially being hurt, so let's make sure that all gifts are something that we would like to receive.

Gifts should be either "general" - anyone would enjoy it - or they can be designated "adult" "teen" or "child". We'll give numbers to each person participating. Number 1 chooses first, takes any package he/she thinks looks interesting. He/she opens it and shows it to the group. Then number 2 chooses. The only difference is that #2 can either keep his/her choice or take the gift away from #1. Number 3 can then keep his/her choice or take from #2 or #1 and so on. At the end, # 1 can then take from anyone. It's a lot of fun to see who ends up with what.

As discussed way back on this thread, it will be a fun way for all of us to get to know each other. Those who do not want to be in the swap can still enjoy the fun. Since we're meeting in the Promenade lounge, the Bahama Mamas can begin right away!

Please let Joan know if you're in the swap so that she can update the spreadsheet once again!

Hi Frank, 6049 was our cabin for our March 07 cruise!

Welcome to the Dune Buggy Tour Cheryl! It looks like a bunch of fun! I think I will be in the driver's seat. I learned on a stick, but haven't really drove it in a while. Years ago (like 12) he drove my car a few times so I don't think that really counts. He just chuckled when I asked him if he had really drove my car or did he drive around a parking lot...He said it was definately the parking lot. Not sure if he is chuckling cause I am driving or at the thought of him trying to drive stick. Should make the day more interesting...perhaps our dune buggy should be at the end of the caravan of buggies!

Lilo62: if you do change your GC ressie to Native Way, let me know and I'll change it on the hyperlist. Is the Discover Mexico & Chankanabb a Disney excursion? I'm trying to note those becuase my goal for this list is that folks will know who they're going to be on excursions with before we leave and I figured this is a way to help identify which excursions folks are doing (i.e., so folks don't think it was the Disney one meant). Also, no, I didn't notice that your photo is smaller, but I can understand why. In the Showers of Happiness pic that I've put together you'll notice that Jack is on the Ariel view. He wasn't originally. In the original photo I started from there was someone else on there. Of course that HAD to change

All: regarding whether or not you're particpating in the fish extender exchange please send either a yes or no to Joan so she can update the spreadsheet. I, for one, need to know this info so I'll know how much stuff to get. Explanation of Fish Extender - right next to your stateroom door there is this fish clip thing on the wall. People often hang a thing on it (kind of like a shoe holder but prettier -- see pictures here http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1219607). If you particpate in the fish extender exchange then the rest of us particpating will leave stuff in your extender (I'll be touring the ship and leaving all of my stuff one day but since everyone else will be doing it too, you'll probably get something in your extender several times during the trip). None of the stuff left is very expensive. Here's a link for FE gift ideas -- http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1522535&referrerid=&highlight=fish+extender. Now, not to beat a dead horse, but please, please do indicate whether you're going to participate in the FE exchange or not because it will help those of us that are participating know how much stuff to get.
