>> April 1, 2012 - Disney Dream Spring Break Frenzy! <<

I also had issues with the online checkin last night and finally got it taken care of at 5a mtn. I was highly frustrated, but what could I do? We are signed up for 1130a at the port, too!

I think I have my decisions made for my FE purchases, just waiting on final #s so I can make them final. That will be fun!

We are booked on the April 1st cruise and looking forward to it. I booked last January and we weren't sure we would be able to make the trip until a few weeks ago. It will be me, DH, DD (9) and DS (7). My kids have been watching the Disney cruise video on netflix for weeks.

My DH, and two DS's (11 & almost 13) will be joining everyone on our first family cruise.. My DH and I have been on one before, but first one with the boys. We are so excited and it's nice to see everyone on the post who will be cruising with us...

Checked in last night and booked all our excurisions.. ... so very excited and can't wait for the fun to begin.

Welcome Sparty:-) GO BLUE!!! :cheer2:

My kids have been watching that video over and over again. My 5 yr old dd wants to ride the Aquaduck like you would not believe...but she is about 1.5 inches too small, her twin brother is tall enough, but wants no part of it. 9 yr old wants to do it but is a bit nervous too!

Got the 11:30 check in and got the package I wanted on CC.

Question, one of the things in the package was the stringrays, is there a reason why I would want one time over another....couldn't think of anything and picked noon.

In Nassau we are going to do Atlantis, but we are chosing to book it at Atlantis, with a family of 5 it is over $600 thru DCL. I don't want to take the gamble if we are going to have good weather and be stuck there. It is a bit cheaper to do it right there.

Another question, last time we went to Atlantis we took a taxi there from the pier, can you take one of the water taxis there? Was thinking all of us might not fit in one taxi, I supposed they might have some van ones though.

Looks like tons of us got the 11:30 check in. We might all meet each other before we even board!

I am a little concerned by the Spartan and "Go Blue" comment, so I'll just add and "O - H - I - O!!!" :cheer2:

Hello all.

Though I have been booked since last March, I am just joining the thread here. Thanks SSinWYO for referring me to the site and discussions.

Coming on my own from Switzerland for this trip. Spring Break calls for sunshine and an escape from the snow and cold of winter here.

This is DCL cruise #9 for me with #10 following right on its heels aboard the 7 April sailing of the Fantasy.

I would like to be involved in the FE. I will look a little closer at the thread to find out who I should contact.

Is anyone else doing the Nassau Sea Lion Encounter?

Counting the days until sunshine!!

Christopher

Hi Christopher! Glad to see you came onboard. There's a whole lot more stuff in this cruise meet thread.

Looks like the Atlantis Sea Lion Encounter was sold out when I checked in. :( Maybe we'll do dolphins. DD will be happy with anything, thankfully. :woohoo:

I may be the only one who picked an arrival time of 1:00! :rolleyes1
We are staying in Orlando Saturday night and no one wanted to be in the big arrival crowd at 11:00/11:30 so we opted for the later arrival. :confused3 Hope I don't regret the decision. Last year when we arrived the terminal was really crowded and it didn't help with our boarding position. We got there early and still got boarding group 17! I was thinking if we arrived at 1:00 by the time we got onboard we could go straight to our stateroom and drop our stuff... I don't know, we'll see how it works out! :confused3 :confused3

I have to get some updates going with all the new members to the thread and the FE...trying to find some time at work. We have early dismissal days every day this week so maybe after students have left I can get this done! :rolleyes1

Hi Debbie,

Thanks for the welcome. I have a few more messages to post before the board will allow me to PM you, so I am working on it and will get you my info soon.

Coming from Switzerland but Orlando was home for 6 years before coming here. And as a DVC member I get back as much as I can. Looking forward to this trip for sure.

I think I selected 12 30 for my time. But I imagine it will be 1 00 before I arrive. I am coming on Disney bus from the Villas at Wilderness Lodge. Last February I used the same transport option from AKL to the Dream and I think that we got there about 1. It was a bit crowded but check in that was smooth and quick and then we only had to wait about 15 minutes after checking in until we were allowed to board. And the room was ready which meant first stop was to drop the bag and then EXPLORE the ship without the extra burden.

Oh and I am a teacher too!!!! Spring Break 2012 is going to be great!

Another teacher on board tool, well my wife is a teacher not me, guess that would make sense given its break.

Has anyone rented bikes there before? My daughter is 6 and isnt all that great riding bikes, do they have tandoms available?

I was wondering that about the bikes too? Or training wheels??

I am a teacher too....counting those days down until spring break!

Ha! Could be interesting depending on how the rest of basketball season goes! The night before the cruise is the Final Four night (we'll be in Magic Kingdom - our only day at that park on this trip, so this is a bit stressful!!), and the championship is day 2 of the cruise. Sure would be fun if we could cheer our Bucks on in the Bahamas!! :cheer2:

My hubby's a public school teacher, too - definitely a teacher group here! I homeschool our kiddos, so I'm a semi-teacher, I guess. :confused3

RemoCat......

All I can say is O - H - I - O:cheer2:

Glad to see another Buckeye on the cruise.... have my fingers crossed for the Final Four......

Christopher.......

My husband and I are signed up for the Atlantis Sea Lion excursion. What's your time slot?

Looking forward to the cruise. I've had enough of the snow and cold.... I'm ready for the sun and warmth!!!!!!

I am on the 9:30 time slot. I had signed up for this excursion when I sailed the Dream last February and then decided to cancel it in order to allow more ship exploraion time. The 4 days on this great ship can go by so quickly and I did not want to miss any hidden treasure. But this time I decided to go for it and check out the sea lions. It should be a lot of fun.

Ok did some research and yes they have bikes with training wheels available, no need to reserve just ask at check in, or so I have been told. No tandoms however.

And I wouldnt get too excited for a Final 4 run by anyone from the Big 10, pretty sure they will all be done by then...us fine folks in the Big East might have more to be worried about...but in either case I'll be in the sports bar Monday night watching the games, I'll assume I wont be the only husband up there.
