AP Rates for AFTER August 4th are...........

Well, nothing for me There are no AP rates for AKL CL and since my Poly stay doesn't start until September 30th, nothing there either

Some luck huh? Maybe I should go and buy a lottery ticket

Well, all I can say is good things come to those who wait.

From reading basically everyones post, it seems like there was a little bit of something for ALMOST everyone. To those who couldn't get what they wished for....dont let it stop you from taking your family to WDW.

I guess those two posters who blasted me and a few others yesterday saying that "AP rates are not promised to anyone"....are now looking for another thread to start a debate.

To the moderators of this thread, especially Safteymom, I got your PM yesterday and there was no bad intent on my part...just sticking up for myself and others.

By seeing all the happy responses, I am glad I started this thread.

Finally, me and DW got what we wanted. AP Rate at POLY from Aug 8th - 19th. 11 nights for $280 with tax for a total of $3081.

Here is my breakdown...

Rack Rate with tax comes out to - $370.13 per night x 11 nights = $4,071
AAA Rate with tax comes out to - $314.61 per night x 11 nights = $3,460
AP Rate with tax comes out to - $280.12 per night x 11 nights = $3,081

With the AP rate vs. Rack Rate we saved +/-$1,000
With the AP rate vs. AAA Rate we saved +/-$380

In the long run, it pays to be an AP Holder.

By reading all the post, there seem to be alot of us staying at POLY...anyone wish to start a "POLY Meet" at the 2nd floor bar sometime in August???

Sorry about that. I know what you mean. For my dates, AKL has been booked for weeks and weeks, as well as CR. I ended up booking my 5th choice with the hopes of switching to something else. I also cannot believe how high the AP rates are and how low availability is for early Aug, even at rack rate. I may end up downgrading in the end due to the higher than expected AP rates. Keep watching.. you never know. Er.. well, once the site is finally updated anyway.

All I can say is THANK YOU for this Thread! This morning it was so fun getting a moderate for the price I was paying for POP and I had it all done before it was posted on the passholder site~~~ My husband thinks I'm absolutely brillant~~~ little does he know that I had DIS Board to thank!

We went ahead and upgraded to POR because POP did not offer AP discounts. I stayed at ASSports in May and really didn't like it. So, for $55 more, we're getting a much nicer resort/pool area/food court. I can't wait to tell my friend about the upgrade! Wooo Hoooo. Only 55 days!

Is there a list anywhere that shows the AP rates by hotel category? The rates being shown seem all over the board.

Epcot resorts (Beach Club, BoardWalk Inn, Yacht Club): $235 Standard view
Polynesian: $249 Garden view

I just cancelled AKL for 9/2-9/8 so there is one room available now!

I switched to POFQ for a savings of almost $700. I haven't stayed there yet but heard great things so I can't wait.

CR Tower - MK view was available for my date 9/22/-07 for $354.38--- that's from the AP site... no standard view offered

That sounds like it might be fun. We are going to be there August 13th to 22nd with our AP rate! WooHoo!! It's our first time staying there and it's to celebrate our 25th anniversary

Thank you for this post! My DSis and I stayed at POFQ from 4/25 - 5/05, and hadn't planned on going back this year, but I just got off the phone with CRO and it looks like we're going again. OK, so it will be hot as blazes. But our AP's expire on 9/22 and since we plan to be there 9/1 - 9/9 we will get in one more trip under the wire. Some things may happen to make us cancel the trip, but I'm just happy for the chance to be going back in 74 days.

Do I have to have an AP prior to even getting a quote on a price? I am looking at all of these rates and I feel like I am so getting hosed. We have a deluxe concierge room at the BWI for Aug.18th-25th. But we did a package with Tickets and Meal Plan. My bill does not have anything broken down--but I did it myself. It sure makes the room look outrageous!
