Hey all!

I'm brand spankin' new here and I've been lurking for a few days but wanted to post today and say hello and ask about AP rates.

Does anyone know when the AP rates come out and if we have any kind of email list for each other so we can email each other when they DO come out? We're going back in March of 2004 and I wondered if maybe there was an area where we could do a listing of all of us who wanted AP rates and we could email each other as soon as we heard they were available.

Any thoughts?

(PS ... these boards are AWESOME!!!)

Martha,
First, welcome to the DIS.
Secondly, I dont think the March AP rates are out yet.
When we all waited anxiously for the Dec. rates, we watched this board vigilantly. Some would call early and post whether or not they were available yet. Then everyone inundated MS with reservations as soon as they were available. Moral of the story I guess is to keep watching these boards and your questions will be answered.

These boards are GREAT, as well as all of the people who "live" here.
Welcome, have fun, be nice to the Tag Fairy, and keep posting!

The best thing to do is watch this board. It seems to me that the AP rates in general (with the exception of this round) have been coming out the week before the others expire. From my memory thats how it was in April and it was like that in August but they pulled them and rereleased them again a bit later. You can also check Mousesavers.com. You can subscribe to a service that will send you email notices when the page is updated. But I still think your best bet for getting information on AP rates is the board. As it gets close to the time the will be released you will see more discussions on it.

Welcome to the boards!

As the others have said - watch these boards and you will KNOW when the AP rates hit!!!:teeth: There is also a DIScount page on the web site that updates all sorts of discounts for Disney hotels, off-site hotels, and transportation deals. Also Mary at mousesavers.com always updates any codes or AP rates that come out. Both sites are very timely in their updated information.

That being said since you are not looking to go till March you have quite a bit of a wait. The next round may or may not have March in them.

Thanks soooo much for the replies! I have to say this is SUCH a great board. In year's past I've used the AOL Disney board ... but I'm no longer with AOL and I have to say I like this board 1,000 times better!

Okay ... so my NEXT question is ... how on EARTH you do all the adorable little "doo dads" (those darn smilies) on your pages? I promise I'm going to scout it out and try to find the info ... but any quick tips would be wonderful!

Thanks again!

:)

Yes, your best bet is here and on mousesavers.com.
On revising my reservation today (we are going in February) I asked iif the AP discounts were out yet, and the CRO said no. They said to watch for late October. I would assume that these AP discounts would be for check-ins January 2004 through mid February 2004.

REMEMBER - the day you check in is the rate you get for your entire stay, no matter how long you stay.

I know this applies in terms of Disney's different "seasons" - but does it apply to discount rates as well? That is, if passholder rates are released through, say, the 8th of the month, can a stay from the 6th through the 12th be booked at the passholder rate for the entire stay?

::yes:: Yes, last year we checked in on the 'cutoff' date of an AP rate and stayed four more nights on the same rate (as long as they have the rate available when you book--same as the way stays are booked that cross over into another season).
