I renewed my annual pass last month and am going to use it for the first time tomorrow. Do I need anything other than a magic band for parking and discounts? The discount card and actual pass card have the old expiration date on them. Will I need to go to guest services for new ones or is everything done with magic band now?

Any Ticket Window or Guest Relations Location can issue (or reissue) Passholder Cards.

I haven't bothered to get new cards. They don't check often for parking and if they do, they have scanners that approve you. They took my old card for discounts as we'll. Idk if that is standard of luck. It doesn't hurt to get new ones.

I flash my card for parking and they always just wave me right on through. But you will definitely need your card plus ID for discounts in-store.

That is generally the case but on July 4th at MK they actually scanned our AP card.

That is just plain ODD.

AP's have always been issued by Guest Relations (in addition to Ticket Booths, too.)
But, APs can NOT be purchased at Guest Services (AKA: Resort Concierge.)
The resorts cannot issue APs, but Guest Relations (at the parks, TTC and DS/DTD) can.

AND, many guests who purchase APs also buy "Tables in Wonderland" cards at the same time,
and those TiW cards are only available at Guest Relations at the parks, TTC and DS/DTD.
