AP Holders - Question for you

I have never been an AP holder, but I do realize there are different types (AP v PAP). My question however had to do with usage.

I know that you get vouchers when you order the AP's and activate them at some point. My questions:

Do you only have to activate them when you enter one of the parks? For example, if we got in late and we had PS at one of the restaurants, would we have to activate the pass just to get into the parks?

Is it that you only get 365 days worth of usage? I mean, say we check into the hotel on the 364 day since the pass was activated, would it automatically expire at midnight the next day or will it be be good until you check out of the hotel, say one week later?

This kind of has to do with the above question. When your stay is between to rate seasons (for ex: peak vs. regular), can you hold more than one reservation to get any AP discounts that apply - assuming they are being offered?

If only one member of your party holds an AP, can you still get the discounts at the restaurants for your entire party (my DH and DD and DS)? What about for the extra actvities available, ex: discounts on the watercraft or shopping.

Thanks for your input. Have a nice night.

Yes

You actually get 366 days of use. Example: You activate it on January 1 and it will expire (and be good until) the close of the parks on the next January 1.

It will expire on the date stamped on your pass. It is not tied into or does not have anything to do with a resort stay.

That depends on where it's being used. Some AP discounts only allow the passholder to get the discount. Others will allow a specified number of guests in addition to the passholder. It varies. The AP pass sleeve or your Mickey Monitor will usually tell you what you are allowed.

It's not cheap coming from Massachusetts to Florida. So I am looking at several options for tickets. I do appreciate your help.

Oh, is the Mickey Monitor online so I can look at it?

Have a nice night.

It is not cheap leaving from anywhere. It is less expensive than from say CA. These boards will help, we are all here to help one another. Golden Oldie knows this ticket stuff cold, she is the ONE to ask. :)

Well, that's what happens when you ask a CM. You get slightly misinformed. ;) :p :smooth:
