Basically, right now the AP is the best option for discounts. DVC matches some of the AP discounts, but AP's offer much more ( 50% discount on mini golf as opposed to DVC's 15%)
Disney figures that so many of us have AP's anyway...what's the point?
OR...it could be a lack of perception of what DVC members are and that we exist....LOL!!!
We've found it a good idea to carry around the printed 'defined' perks for both DVC and AP's on the off chance we do sitdown meals or are shopping outside the parks. That was after being denied a DVC discount at Pucks because 'it didn't apply' even though my perk summary card in the room said it did. Well, my usually 20+% gratuity didn't apply either.
I do know there's not many discounts at the World of Disney. The CM working the register showed us the book they have documenting the few discount codes they had back in May 2002.
We're also first time AP holders (just bought online Saturday) and aren't picking them up at will call until June. I found the list of discounts at All Ears Net.
