Do they ever offer free dining to ap holders?

No. You would have to pay for a two day ticket still. You used to be able to transfer them to other people but not sure how that would work with MDE now.

Even AP holders must purchase 2 day tickets to take advantage of FD. You can save the tickets and use them when you renew your AP, save them for a future visit when you don't have APs or give them someone else.

I believe you can still save the two-day ticket and apply it to your AP renewal whenever that comes up or just use them for a future trip if you don't renew. Just be sure the tickets are NOT used on this trip.
