AP and Free Dining

If you have AP's, still get the required park tickets for 2 days, can you get the free dining and still get the AP discount on the room? Sorry to sound ignorant but I am when it comes to free dining.

you can only get one discount per booking...Free Dining is a discount, so if you book the room/tickets package to get Free Dining, that's it on the discount

Be sure to price out both versions...it may very well work out that the AP room rate discount + paying for dining will cost less than "free dining" (to get the Free Dining, you have to pay rack-rate for rooms.)

If staying Value getting free dining will be cheaper, staying at a Mod or Deluxe depends on how many are going. We didn't need tickets since we had APs and still had GAD vouchers to use to renew APs when they expire. I just could see dishing out $350 for tickets we won't need for a yr and half, plus $150 we were saving on the room discount. We ate CS, McD's near AllStar, and Logan's we probably spent at the most $250 for the 5 days which is cheaper than the QSDP. Logans has great dinner specials on Mon, Tues, and Wed 2 dinners for $13.99 we got 2-6 oz steaks plus 2 sides for $14, can't beat that.
