We currently have a cabin booked for our family of 6. My dd has cerebral palsey and uses a wheelchair. We love the idea of parking at the door as we will drive to the parks. The buses make her nErvouse. We have also never vacationed without a kitchen. However with the new Offer, we could stay at AoA for $300 more. The newness etc seems so xciting. Convince me either way.

I don't know... we stayed in a regular cabin (no wc user with us), but I think the accessible cabins at FW would be good, considering you are driving to the parks. The regular cabin was nice, except I wasn't thrilled with my spot on the murphy bed. Other than that, I liked it.
As much as I'd like to stay in AoA myself, I can't imagine any more convenient parking situation than that at the fort. The cabins are nice. Did I say that already? :)
I'm sure you'll get better replies from others, I just think you have a great option booked already, and if I were in your shoes, I'd probably keep it.
Oh, though 2 bathrooms would be nice for 6. Uh oh, I may have just convinced you the other way! Have you compared the square footages of both options? You might want to go for the most floor space.

The cabins sound like an excellent fit. Not to mention the serenity and quiet and all the extra activities at the Fort. There is also the boat to the Magic Kingdom, and the ability to watch Wishes from the beach, which I would take over a crowded Main Street any day!!
The cabins just seem so cozy and restful. With AoA my concern would be the newness of the resort and all of the extra people to get around.
I do know that AoA has a zero entry pool, and I am not sure about the one at the Fort.

You could even still drive over to AoA for a few meals and to take a look around.
That's our plan anyway. :)

Hi. I didn't hear if AoA has accessible suites, I assume they do. If you like using a kitchen and parking at your door, then cabin wins hands-down! Two bathrooms and new resort makes AoA attractive though. Good luck deciding!

We had our first stay at the Cabins last month and loved it! The parking is right outside your door. There was plenty of space, a full-sized refrigerator with a freezer on top, and plenty to do at the Fort. If you'll have a car anyway, I'd recommend them!
