Anything for teens at pleasure Island?

We are leaving on June 26 & taking our 16 year old Daughter & her 17 year old friend. We would like to visit Pleasure Island, but I don't want to leave 2 girls alone at the hotel (maybe I'm paranoid, but I just don't feel comfortable doing that) So, is there any place/show that 2 adults can go to & take 2 teenaged girls? If there was some band or pop artist singing, I'm sure they'd enjoy it! Is there a web page that you can go to that will tell who is performing & when?
Thanks for your help! :wave2:

My 16 yo DS loves Comedy Warehouse & Adventurer's Club. He's not into Pop music & not into the dancing/club thing. I'd guess the teen girls would love any of the clubs. There are 2 clubs that they won't be able to get in to ( BET & Mannequins, I think)

I've been playing with the idea back and forth about taking our 'teen's with us 13,14,15...but after reading several post about "kids at PI" - I've decided to stick with my original plan and have them enjoy DQ, while we're next door at PI. I'm sure that your teens would also enjoy that too...there's also the large AMC movie theaters next to PI & DQ, that they might also enjoy.

I think they'd be safer at the resort than at PI. With the many intoxicated men who are there on vacation looking to hook up, I would be hesitant taking a 17 or 16 year girl to PI. While you're at the resorts, you see many teenage kids in the pools or at the gamerooms, just hanging out sans parents, having a ball. That would be what I would do, but I'm sure you'll make the right decision for your daughter.

Well, the teens would probably love it. ;) But......
I would stick with DQ for them. And the Pirates game is a heck of a fun time. Not to mention everything else at DQ.

Disney Quest it is an interactive theme park it has games and virtual reality stuff such as you can design your own roller coaster and ride it it is close to PI

Depending on what resort you are staying at "if" they are going to be on their own they are much better off staying at the resort than at PI. They could swim, hit the arcade, get movie or just hang out. Honestly I think that at 16 and 17 they should be fine at the resort alone. The use of a cellphone can help in this regard.

But - if you are going to accompany them then PI should be.... ok. I personally would not do it, but if they are with an adult and pay the admission they can join you in the clubs. My rule of thumb is that if you wouldn't take them to a club or bar at home you may want to think twice about PI as well. I know from experience that AC and CW are not G rated and the dance clubs are not much better. You will aslo see alcohol consumed on the streets including jellow shots and other 'interesting' beverages.

If you do go, then I think they would have a better time, like others have said, in the west side. They could see a movie, shop at virgin records, the magic stop or visit DQ.

Good luck whatever you decide!!

At their age they will not be permitted in PI clubs unless they're accompanied by an adult.

I have no idea about the dance clubs, but I think the shows at the comedy clubs are probably okay for teenagers, especially older ones, and even more so if they're into dramatics or that type of humor.

...and even on the busy nights, most of the clubs don't get to bad until later on in the night. For the clubbers that ask, i usually say that the clubs "pick up" around 10:30, depending on the night anyways.

For people with families, I generally suggest getting there early, checking out the Adventures Club and the earlier Comedy Warehouse shows ( 8:20 and 9:15 ), and then if they want, check out some of the clubs depending on the ages.

I would say that for any of the dance clubs, it's a bit too young. I went there on my last trip, and they would definitely be easy targets for drunk guys. I mean, they're nic eclubs and all, but they're at an awkward age where they may look adult but really aren't. They might like them, but I don't think it's the best idea. I'm only 21, and thinking back, I know I wouldn't have felt so comfortable int hem at that age.

However, comedy clubs may be a hit. I don't know about disney quest with teenage girls, it never really appealed to me. Maybe they could even go to a park while you're there? I agree that alone at the resort is definitely a better idea than alone at PI.

I am 16 years old also and have never been to PI but can justify the fact that I wouldn't mind going to DQ with my friend. In fact, I would have a blast! It would be fun for me anyway just to have a friend down there with me. My sister is just a year younger and we have fun just the same as friends and we certinally would have fun either way. I have been to DQ and for the most part it was fun (the build your own roller coaster however was a bit of a dissapointment, I mean after riding Rock 'n Roller coaster) But I guess what I am trying to say is, it is probably okay to leave them at the resort (I don't know your daughter and her friend, but I know that my sister and I are around the same age as those two and would be fine at the resort. It is fun to just shop at the stores in the resort and swim just the same) To sum it up, I wouldn't take them to PI if you have doubts, they would probably have just as much fun anywhere else.
