Our Easter break is the week after Easter, so I won't be calling until next week. I know there are a lot of people, however, that have their break the week before Easter, and wondered what is was looking like for the "7 month switch".

So, to those of you trying to make the trade, what kind of luck are you having?

Just finished today booking AKV day by day for our week before Easter trip at the 7 mo window. We were at SSR. Had no problems at all calling first thing in the morning.

I just booked AKL for 3 days in the week before Easter. I did it on a day-to-day basis as they told me availability was tight for AKL.

I had been concerned, especially for BCV (for the week before) and posted here. Someone advised me to call MS and see how the availability was. Although they won't/can't (naturally) guarantee you anything it did put my mind at rest for BCV and advised me to book day-to-day for AKL because it was a little tight. I just have one more day to book at HHI and then I'm set for March apart from contacting the Weather to make sure there's no snowstorms :goodvibes

I was also wondering this. Our spring break is also the week after Easter - and we currently are booked part at AKV and part at BCV. I'm not thrilled with switching resorts, but it wouldn't be the end of the world. I'm torn on which resort to stay at (between AKV, BCV or BWV). I'm sure I would be happy with any of them, if I didn't have to move mid-trip.
It will be tough to try to call day by day - since we are leaving friday for Disneyland! I guess I would have time when standing in line for Nemo! :lmao: :rotfl2:

Our split is between AKV and BWV. I have been tossing around so many alternatives lately it is making my head spin! Calling day by day would be kind of a headache for me too since I officially go back to work next week after having the summer off. I don't think slipping out of a meeting at 9:00 (three days in a row!) to call Disney would go over too well with anyone! The timing stinks because I would have easily been able to call at 9:00 every day this week.

I didn't really switch at 7 months, but I did a day by day switch last week of my AKV 2 bedroom villa reserved the week before Easter from using my AKV points to using banked VWL points instead. The two bedroom had to be available to book for me to be able to switch the points used like that at 7 months.

I just got off the phone with MS, hoping to get a GV at OKW for the first three nights of our trip. They had 2 of the 3 nights available, so I passed. I was able to change my AKV reservation to BWV, so now we will spend the whole week at BWV. On one hand I'm bummed that I won't get to stay at AKV yet, but on the other hand I am glad that we won't be switching during our stay. We love BWV and I know that is a great place to spend the week with a bunch of teens.

I just finished today making day-by-day reservations using our double developer points from our recent add-on at AKV. We had no reservations at all, so there was no switch involved. But we were making ressies for a 1 BR at BCV for March 23-28. We had no problems - :confused3 and :cloud9:. I was surprised as I was assuming that, for that week - the 23rd is Easter Sunday - BCV would be packed. But we were successful. I have to admit - I waited to post this until we were done for fear someone here would "beat me to the punch" and call and get the last room. :lmao: Good luck to the rest of you as you make the switch.

I ended up dropping my BWV reservation and got 6 nights in a GV at SSR. I was also surprised (and very happy!) that there was availability. I didn't even call day by day, I made the whole reservation yesterday around 4:30 or so. There was also GV availability at AKV. OKW was my first choice for a GV, but they only had some of the nights and I didn't want to chance a waitlist for the others.

I'm really glad to see that the 7 month window is working out for so many, especially during one of the busiest weeks of the year!
