When to fly? Am I crazy?

So thinking of being crazy and going to DW the week after thanksgiving (first week of Dec). But also trying to think about what days to fly. Thinking of either flying on Sunday the 29th out to Orlando from San Diego and fly home on the 4th or leave Monday the 30th and head home on the 5th. Only thing is when I changed the resort prices came down a bit. But flying is a huge consideration as to my trip. Is flying that Sunday really all that bad or is it horrible?

The issue is what my schedule allows and such weekends are better for me to fly.

Ah, gotcha. In that case… I’d go for Sunday.

The Sunday after Thanksgiving set a new record for TSA screenings in the US. So yes, flying that day is exceptionally busy. Monday should be slightly better. Don’t forget weather can cause issues & holidays can make adjustments or rerouting even worse.

Flights around major holidays tend to book up months in advance. If you wait too long to choose your flight, chances are you will have to pay a lot more and/or have fewer choices of the most desirable travel times or have to take a connecting flight instead of traveling non-stop.
