Anyone tried the Costco knock off uggs?

Do most people wear socks with Uggs or go barefoot? I thought I heard you go barefoot.

You are supposed to go barefoot with Uggs.

I have a pair of Uggs and a pair of the Costco Fake Uggs (the real Uggs are the short brown and the Costco ones are the tall black). Honestly, I can't tell the difference in the two. They are both very comfortable and feel the same. I just bought the Costco ones this season so I can't really comment on how well they hold up (my Uggs were a Christmas present from last year).

I think I paid $39 for the Costco Uggs a month ago.

Did you not have the same problem that we did with the black rubbing off on your feet, etc? I wondered if we got a bad batch or something, because it didn't seem like something Costco would sell.

I bought my 5 yo DD a pair of gray ones and after a week decided I wanted a pair, too. Honestly, I think the whole style is really unflattering, but the more I thought about it, the more I wondered why if it is currently considered stylish to wear glorified slippers in public am I not partaking? My feet are always cold in the winter and the two times I've worn them since I bought them last week, they have been warm and cozy. Are they lesser quality than Uggs? I would assume so. But, we are already a few years into this fad, so I can't imagine shelling out the $200+ for real Uggs just for the name. I don't know that I'll do the whole leggings/jeggings/skinny jeans to call attention to them, but am perfectly happy to wear them under boot cut jeans. I do have friends that are brand name snobs that I am sure will snicker about them, but I have decided I'd rather spend that money elsewhere. Like Disneyland :thumbsup2

Bought the Costco brand a couple months ago and am finally getting some use out of them. I have a pair of Ugg brand and these are exactly the same, to me. Made in China from Australian shearling, just like Ugg brand. Very thick inside, same type of sole as Ugg. I love them, and for $37, I may get another color. I did see they had kid ones last week too.

I agree, as a previous poster said I wouldn't be surprised if they were made on the same line, same specs, only difference being the little tag.

Funny that you mention that. I've only worn them a few times (today being one of them) and yes I am getting some black rubbing off on my feet. It seems to wash off pretty easy. I don't remember my Uggs doing this when I first got them (but my Uggs are brown not black).

Is it only the black ones that people are having issues with?

I bought a pair of the Costco brand this morning - they feel soooo comfortable. Based on reviews, I think they will be perfect for me and the price was right at $36.99 :cool1:

I have 3 pairs of Uggs, and 1 pair of the Costco Fuggs that I got last year. The Costco Fuggs have held up far better than any of the real Uggs that I have. On 2 pairs of my real Uggs, the shearling liner wore away fairly quickly. The Costco Fuggs got beat up last winter (I wore them in a few snow storms) but were able to be cleaned up with a suede brush, and are still nice and fuzzy inside. I like the Costco ones so much that I was waiting for them to come out this year - I made DH buy me another pair in a different color and put them away for Christmas!

My daughter commented yesterday that hers were doing this. They're black Uggs and she got them last Xmas.

The ones that are doing it to me are the Costco knock off Uggs. My real Uggs don't seem to do it, but like I said they are brown not black. Maybe it's an issue with black ones, no matter what brand they are.

I have real black Uggs and DD has the black Costco ones. Both brands get the black all over your socks.

Costco's are the EXACT same quality as the real. If you can get over them not having "UGG" on the back, then go for the cheaper ones, they're just as wonderful.

Update on Costco Uggs: I have had mine for several weeks now. They are wonderful!!! I have worn them on a freezing day to a football game and my feet stayed warm. I have worn them outside in the cold for several hours at a time and my feet stayed warm even though the rest of me was cold! I have worn them shopping to the mall (and my feet don't overheat either). What a great deal these are! I see no reason to pay big bucks just to have a name on the back. I wear these boots everyday now!!

I would love to buy this style for my boys, but all I see are the women boots. Aren't these Unisex?

hey everyone! :) i am really interested in these boots from costco! i tried them on today but i couldn't decide which size to buy. I usually wear a size 8. In a size 8 in these boots, my heel slipped up a little when i walked in them with no sock. I tried on the 7 and they are pretty snug but I saw that the box says that they will stretch. I'm just not sure if they will stretch enough for the 7 to be comfortable. I dont want to get the 8 and then they stretch and are too big on me.

Those of you who have had the costco boots for years, do they stretch out alot or very little? I'm trying to decide if i should get size 7 or 8.

thanks!! :)

Thank you everyone! I had my DD12 read this thread the other day, then yesterday we stopped at Costco.
She has been insisting! as a 12 year old does that she had to have UGGS (like everyone else). I was so proud of her for deciding she'd be okay with the Costco brand-"if I buy them today"! Sold!! I even let her get the other fold down knitted pair, too. So she has the furry ones in gray and the other pair in black. She was very happy with the fur, fluffiness quality and the way they fit. She had Bearpaws last year and I remember the salesgirl saying that the size was good on her, but it ended up really stretching out too much. She should have bought an 8, not a 9. The fur on the inside wore right down and also the soles after just 1 winter. I think part of that was them not fitting her correctly.
She ended up with the 7 at Costco for the Tall Shearling and an 8 for the fold down knit. 2 pairs and I still saved over the real UGGS!

I think they are great for the price. The authentic UGGS are out of my budget!

Question for you guys who have the Costco FUggs, I bought a pair of FUggs at Sears at first they seemed so comfy, now the inside footbed is flat as a board no support at all and I have heel spurs so I am going to have give these up due to the pain:sad2:, will this happen with the Costco ones? I tried them on and they felt AWSOME but i'm scared the same thing will happen with the footbed so I did not buy them thanks for your input.

I own about 5 pair of Uggs in various styles. While at Costco yesterday I tried on their version and they are perfect. Really, can't even tell the difference between the two. I picked up the grey for DH to give to me for Christmas. I've always wanted the tall grey boots, but couldn't see spending the $$$ on Uggs anymore. Like another PP said, I'd rather spend that money elsewhere:thumbsup2

do the costco boots stretch alot??

i'm trying to decide if i should get size 7 or 8. 7 is pretty snug and 8 fits me normally. but if they stretch, the 8 will be too big

thanks! =)

If anyone wants the Costco Uggs, don't delay - get them now! The Costco by me is sold out of their Uggs.

I wear a size 6 or 6-1/2 and I have a wide foot. I bought the size 7 which fits just fine.

Since I just bought them around Thanksgiving, I won't know until after the season how they held up. So far, so great! I sprayed them with Scotchguard before I put wore them anywhere. I would have never bought them if I hadn't read about them on the budget board here - so thanks for posting about these.
