I know I have over 2 months before I can even begin to make my reservation, But I still find myself already trying to plan this trip. I've got it narrowed down to:

Christmas Eve & Christmas Day: AKL
Next 3 nights: Hard Rock Hotel Universal (checking in on DS's 14th birthday)
Final 4 nights (Includes NYE) : BWV

OR

Xmas Eve thru 12/28 - Hard Rock
12/28- 1/2- BWV

Anyone else currently working out the details of Christmas 2003?:D

We were just talking about going for Christmas/NYE 2003 and then I looked and saw your post.

We were thinking about VWL and BWV for NYE-see you there fellow Michiganian. :teeth:

Here's another Michigan DVCer that will be down at WDW over Christmas 2003. :D I'll be hosting my sister, BIL, nephew, and 2 nieces, probably Dec. 28 through Jan. 4.

The plan right now is to call day by day at the 11-month window and try for a standard BWV 2BR. Then we'll decide whether to try switching to another DVC resort at the 7-month window, or stick with BWV. Whichever resort we wind up at, we'll be excited and glad to be there! :bounce:

They will be flying in from a different state, so I'll fly down separately. I'm thinking about going down a couple days early and staying at one of the AS. I'll be on the last few days of an AP, so I thought it would be fun to try a couple days solo before they arrive.

See you around the Boardwalk! :jester:

It's nice to know there are others out there who think more than a year ahead!

We'll probably go down next year. As you can see from my countdown, we're getting close to our 2002 Christmastime visit.

We want to take our son's friend with us sometime soon. Perhaps next Christmas would be the best time. We'll have to check out the school schedule.

We are thinking of going New Year's Eve 2003...it's too much fun to play ahead! :bounce:

Got to Love DVC!:Pinkbounc

Not Christmas, but I'm already gearing up to make my ressies for next year's Food and Wine Festival!

We will be there, 3 weeks at BWV, over Christmas and into New Year.

Well if Christmas 2003 sounds crazy, I am already planning Christmas 2004. My mom wants to go back down and we are already planning for Nov 30 - Dec 5th. I know that I want to stay in a std studio at my home, BWVs. She is planning for her vacation of a lifetime, her and my Aunt are going to stay at AKL.

I know that we will go down before then too. We have a big vacation planned for May 03, we are doing the cruise and then BWV. We are also planning to take my dh's family down in Feb 2004. Feb 2004 is perfect, it is midway between our May 03 trip and the Dec 04 trip.

Plan, plan, plan....

We never visit OKW/WDW during the busy times of the year, but are looking forward to late Feb., early March to make ressies for approx. 16 days at OKW/VB. for Jan./Feb 2004.

We are planning for the first week of December 2003 because my sister is getting married at WDW on 12/4/03!! We are psyched!

We're planning a relaxing trip next year to celebrate our tenth anniversary. I think we'll just do Hilton Head next year. I am looking forward to some time at Disney next week but I am kinda sad we'll only be a HH a few days so next year we'll remedy that. I'm hoping to book us into a GV at HH so I know I'll need that all important 11 month window. So far, I think we'll spend December 27 and 28 in a 2 bedroom (cash) and then December 29, 2003-January 3, 2004 in a GV. I just love DVC!

Well, I'm considering NYE 2003/2004, but unfortunately when I mentioned it to DH last night, he's not! I thought he might be interested in going and seeing the Osborne Lights, but on NYE, spending a quiet evening not going to the parks. I'm very sad that this didn't seem at all interesting to him. Me, I'd go to WDW any time I could! Wish he wanted to go (Sniff)

We are considering coming in Dec 5th for 7 nights in a 1-bdrm unit at BCV and then at the 7 month mark try to switch to BWV's. We were at the BWV's long ago and loved it and want to go back.

My wife and I, new owners at BCV, hope to arrive Christmas Day, 2003. I invited my sister
(single) from NYC to join us. She'll turn 60 on the 22nd. We're renting a studio at BCV for eight nights if we can get it. I'm hoping my sister intends to join us for 4-5 days between Xmas and New Years, which I'm going to tactfully suggest, as my wife and I would like to have some time just for the two of us (Call us selfish romantics, I guess). I'm really excited! We've heard and read so much about how fantastic the holidays are at WDW - decorations, the Candlelight Processional, etc. I'm constantly watching for Holiday info on this board. I posted on the restaurant forum inquiring about places to dine Xmas day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day, but only recieved a few suggestions. Any dining ideas, tips, etc. about WDW at the holidays will be most appreciated.:D :D :D

What are the crowds like the week AFTER Christmas? Looking at the calendar, it might work out for us to go the week after Christmas (2003) and spend new years eve in the sun!

What is the demand for DVC at that time. We don't like going at real busy times. Is this one of them?

I am glad there are so many others planning that far ahead! I keep reading posts about people that are going down next month, and I have to keep reminding myself that our Xmas trip is still over a year away! We've never been down at that time of year so it is something I am really looking forward to!

Newarknut... if you don't like busy times, do NOT go the week after Christmas! It's traditionally THE busiest time at WDW (with the possible exception of Easter week). Parks have been known to hit capaicty and close to off-site guests multiple times during this week. It's also a very popular time for DVC members - you'll have to call day by day exactly when MS opens to get any reservation during this time. Early December is also very popular among DVC folks, but not so much other travellers, so it's a great time to go. The closer you get to that week between Christmas and NYE, the more crowded it will be.

We are either going over Thanksgiving 2003 and staying for seven nights or go around December 5 and stay five nights. I turn 50 on December 9, 2003 and want to celebrate at Disney. I teach and cannot take a full week off, so we may do Thanksgiving and stay longer. Any advice?

We were scheduled to go December 6 this year, but my dh had back surgery about ten days ago. He still wants to try and go, but I don't think he will be ready. All of us are sad as we were really looking forward to the CP. My dh loves Disney as much as the kids and I do.

We plan on going to WDW Dec. 28, 2003 through Jan. 2, 2004. It will be our 30th anniversary. We plan to stay at VWL. I have been planning this trip for at least 1 year.

We are also planning our trip for the first week in December of 2003. We went last year and we loved it. Of course, we can't make our ressies yet but we are anxiously waiting.

Michele
