Anyone stay in one bedroom at Vistana?

Kind of odd. We have exchanged for a one-bedroom unit at Sheraton Vistana. I can't get the floorplan for the one-bedroom unit (on their website) to load, and out of many reviews I have read for the resort all have been from stays in two-bedroom units. My understanding is that our one bedroom will have a whirlpool, but I wanted to verify that, and to get an idea of the square footage.

Anyone actually stayed in a one-bedroom unit? Just want to make sure that they exist, have a whirlpool tub and get your impression of roominess for two adults and two children. Thanks!

I couldn't get the picture of the floor plan to come up either. Is this the site you are using?

Since there is no mention here whether the one bedroom has a jacuzzi, I would call and find out. I would assume if the one bedrooms had the jacuzzi, they would include it on their web site and the fact that they didn't include it makes me wonder.

I have stayed in a 1 BR unit before, and my room did have the whirlpool in the BR. However, it is my understanding that not all of the 1 BR units have the seperate whirlpool; I believe some of them just have whirlpool jets in the regular tub.

Regarding roominess, you'll certainly have more room than you would in a regular hotel room, but you'll be a little crowded with 4 people, since you'll have to use the sofabed for the kids, which is going to eat into your living room space (the 1 BR units all have King beds, I believe). If I were you, I'd look into the cost of upgrading to a 2 BR.

It really is a wonderful resort, and I think you'll be fine. My kids had little interest in the Whirlpool tub after the first day--they were far more interested in the hot tub by the pool. :)

My family stayed in a one-bedroom unit in Cascades during our visit in July of 2001. DH and I had the bedroom, DD (11 yo) slept in a roll-away that we rented for $5 per night from Vistana and DS (9 yo) slept in the fold out couch. It was tight at night, but vastly more comfortable than a hotel room has been in the past. As long as you fold up both kids beds in the morning, you'll be OK.

The one-bedroom unit has kitchen seating for 4, and a kitchenette as opposed to a full kitchen, (it's rather like an efficiency apartment) but we made breakfast, lunch and dinner in the villa on various days and were perfectly happy. I recall that the unit had a bathtub with jets, rather than a jacuzzi, but the previous poster is correct that the hot tubs which are all over the property are always available and a lot of fun. I wouldn't avoid the one-bedroom just because of its lack of a jacuzzi. (If that's the only reason why you would avoid it, I mean)

Have a great trip!
