Anyone stay at Beach Club Villas during refurb?

I thought I saw a thread with some pics of the work being done awhile back.... I remember asking about the appliances in the kitchen such as if the stove top glass but don't know were it went.

We're going Sept 26-Oct 1. I will gladly put up with frayed carpet and dings over construction noise!

Hey all...So I'm going to Disney for the first time ever for my honeymoon in April 2016. My fiancee and I currently have a room at the Yacht Club booked, but our #1 choice would be a 1 bedroom at the BCV. We like the idea of having the larger space and the jacuzzi :) We were hoping that once the spring 2016 discounts come out it would put the villas in our price range. I do hear a lot how the BCV is in some desperate need of a refurb and was excited when I heard it was about to get a refurb. Now with hearing that the refurb has been pushed off for a year I'm a bit unsure of what to do. Are the rooms that badly in need of a refurb that you would suggest not going to the BCV for our honeymoon?

Have you considered a cottage at Boardwalk Hotel? They are really nice. Two floors. Perfect for a honeymooning couple! You can see videos of them on YouTube.

Anyone know what the start day will be? Going week before Christmas and I have never been there

I rented two studios for next JUNE 2016. I rented off someone at the 11 month mark but if they are not refurbed, I am not interested. We usually stay at YC CL which I LOVE but to make the trip affordable for extended family we opted to rent. I wish they would say WHAT MONTH this is starting b/c at the 7 month mark I am looking to switch to BWV b/c BCV not sounding very promising at this point...

Look forward to the update, bummed that the reno won't be done! I thought we'd be super safe booking in September.

Renter...unless you have a prior agreement with the owner...you will NOT be switching resorts even if the refurb is not finished. Most contracts Do not allow any changes...especially if you booked at the 11 month mark...owner may not have points to move you to a different resort.

All good there. I have dealt with the renter many times and she is more than happy to make the move for me.
