Anyone sign up for AMEX Pass card yet?

Just curious how long it took your 2 small deposits to show up. I got the email yesterday that the 2 small deposits had been sent, but they dont show up at my bank yet.

I ordered my cards Saturday, got the email Sunday that they sent 2 small deposits, Monday I got the amounts from my bank account and verified them. After that it takes 3-5 business days for the deposits to get on to the card (i'm still waiting on this part).

This is great, cuts my christmas shopping down by half. I usually give each of the kids $100, they may or may not get the bonus part until after christmas, but hey, it's nice to know that little extra is coming.

I read on another website that it only takes 5-10 business days to get the bonus credit so I think we will be ok.

My son's pass card came today... I went ahead and added another $25 to it which acitvated the free $50 to go on... she said it would take about 4 weeks to get on... but that means he will have it all on there for Christmas...

Also glad I put my email address in for the kids because they sent emails saying You're receiving a PASS card. I would not be happy if DDs knew about the cards before XMAS!!!

I got the shipped emails too this morning, and luckily I also used my email address instead of the kids.

They come addressed to your kids, as does some other documentation in a different mailing, so make sure your kids don't get the mail either!

I have a couple of questions...

1. I see I can get 3 cards to manage. Can my husband also get 3 to manage? The payment would be coming from the same bank account.

2. Can I give this as a gift to an adult (My mother in law.)

3. Anyone fudged the age of their children? My DS is 12 and DD will be 11, but this would be a great thing for them!

Don't forget to check the mail for a second mailing addressed to the child!

I bought my son a PASS card for a surprise Christmas gift and knew from previous posts to check the mail for the PASS card, but I didn't realize there was a second mailing that looked like a check from a company I have never heard of.

My youngest child receive what looked like a check yesterday in the mail. When he opened it it was the PIN number to his pass card for the ATM! Thankfully he is only 9 so he has no idea what AMEX is

I'm on the phone with them again currently and I specifically told them I DID NOT have a mailer that I received the code from a friend(you guys are friends right and she said as long as the code is correct it will automatically generate the $50 bonus if you do the first reload within the timeframe provided.

This apparently is not the case. I just got an e-mail from Amex Pass service saying I will not be receiving the $50 bonus, since I was not the original recipient of the offer and the offer is non transferrable.

I just ordered mine the other day and the deposits just apparently went into my checking acct. If I'm not getting the bonus I'd really rather not tie up $$ on the cards even though it's not a huge amount. wondering can/how do I cancel??

Above poster who wants to fudge kids ages, get 3 in husband's name as well as her own, and give them to her mother-in-law are why the company has denied orders and is stopping this promo! There are always people who take advantage and ruin deals for legitimate honest budget-minded people!

Just FYI, I did not do this deal at all. I posted the first two questions legitimately--it looks like you can purchase the card for any person 13+ (MIL or otherwise) and I was just confirming this. I wasn't ever planning to get extras in my husbands name, just wanted to know if it was acceptable in case he wanted to buy some for his nephews. Finally, the reason I didn't take advantage of the deal at all is because I didn't feel right fudging my kids ages.
