Of course, it's up to you how you want to do this-but they have no way of knowing if the birthdates you enter are right or not-I'd just put the right name and the wrong bd. I don't think they'll let more than one be issued with the same name on it, so you can't put em' all in your name.

I was wondering how this promotion worked when I saw it on fatwallet. I was thinking that why would American Express give all these people $50. But now after reading this thread, I finally understand the catch lol. Most people aren't going to wind up qualifying since they didn't receive the promotion and just clicked on someone else's link.

Oh wait, I had skipped page 2 and only read pages 1 and 3 of this thread. So now I re-thinking my thinking lol. So basically if you put in the promo code, you will get the $50? HMMMM I guess I am going to have to get in on this lol.

I have a question for anyone who has signed up and received the email to verify the deposits.

I received mine, followed the link, put in all the info, created a password and username, vfyd the deposit amt and got a comfirmation page..............SO should I have received another email confirming after that?

The only reason I ask is because I went back to the website to log in, figured I check out the options for setting up automatic deposits, limits and such but my user name and password would not work. I tried the forgot password link figuring maybe I forgot the password (doubtful) and it asked for my secret question and then told me the answer to that was wrong.

big mess with mine.. they sent me the emails to verify with the checking account. I set up my pass account and went to put in the amounts. At first it would not take my user name password combo.. Then once I registered again it keeps taking me back to putting in my info with the order number.. Once I do that it says another parent has registered this card.. ugh.. spent over a 30 minutes on the phone with the customer service guy and he cannot fix it. He goes on to tell me tech support will call me back within a week!!! forget about it..

I just had the same problem. Tech support had me clear my cookies and cache and it worked like a charm.

I got the deposit info from the bank this morning and followed the link in the email to verify the deposits. Here's the message I got after setting up my account and verifying the deposit amounts-

THANK YOU!
YOUR ACCOUNT HAS BEEN VERIFIED.
It will take 3-5 business days to transfer funds to the PASS Card.

This is what shows when I go back and log in. I figure once the funds are transfered everything will show up.

yep we tried the same thing. Poor guy said they are having some problems and someone would call me back within a week.. at that point I pretty much said forget it. I called back and cancelled the whole thing. Plus the fact I got my AE bill today and no passport promo card offered to me. So it was a nice thought while it lasted..

This is what mine is doing now. I also called and was told it would be referred to tech support. Haven't heard anything back yet.............

Not sure if it's because i got in early but we have not had any problems with my daughter's card. it was frustrating that i couldn't log in immediately after the account was set up, but by the time the card shipped there was no issue and i can now log onto the account with no problem.

My one complaint is that it seems to take 3-4 business days for money from my bank account to appear on the card. i know they said it can take 2-3 business days but lots of things say that and it isn't usually the case.

I know Dave Ramsey won't approve of my purchase but it makes a great Christmas present for the kids and it is like a buy one get one free. So I had to spend a bit to get but I felt it was a good value and now the kids get an extra present to go out and buy what they want, not what I give them.

I called customer service and asked what the maximum age for the card was and the rep said that there was only a minimum age. So to be more specific I asked if a 28 year old could have one and she said yes.

I checked and they withdrew the initial 25 from my account today so I guess I'll just wait til the cards come and hopefully I can get into the account by then
