Anyone Nervous about Mission Space

I'm afraid I will throw up thus spoiling my day so I plan on skipping the ride part when it finally opens.

My guess is that you won't experience the same exact sustained G-Forces astronauts do when they lift off on an actual space mission. My guess is they will do about 2 G's max to push you into your seat a bit (the most a modern roller coaster will do is about 5 and that gets people close to blacking out) The bottom line is that this is Disney and they arent going to put anything in their park that is too intense that people arent going to ride it. If people want thrill rides, they go to IOA, if they want a family fun time, they go to Disney. Even ToT and RnR are tame compared to most theme park rides out there.

I wouldnt worry about the ride. It will most likely be a very fun experience and not very intense. Just a hunch.

Cheers,

Bob Hansen (an avid Roller Coaster enthusiast who thinks that even if Mission Space is tame it is still going to rock!)

The company that is making Mission: Space released some specs for a generic version of the ride system. It references 2.5Gs sustained.

I am excited about this new ride..but i got very queasy on RnR the one time I rode and had to go outside..immediately for air!!! I think I may put DH on it and stand outside for a photo opportunity of me standing in front of it....:D

After Ted's description i am certain that i would hork if i went on this thing. Here's hoping they have a "chicken out" exit so i can at least enjoy the pavilion and the pre-show.

Speaking of that....is there a "chicken out" in Star Tours? I am a huge Star Wars fan but because of my in ability to tolerate Body Wars have been reluctant to even go in. Is the pre-show que area of ST worth it or am i just as well of sitting on a bench people watching while enjoying a mickey ice cream bar?

I won't be nervous until I hear some first hand accounts. Of course I say that having chickened out of ToT and RnR. I almost didn't make it on Test Track b/c it sounded fast. I did do Space Moutain though. That was a big accompishment.
