I've been itching to make a cake and I haven't for over a month. I went back to school and just have had to turn cakes down for awhile. I have today off and really enjoying the time off, but really want to get my hands in some fondant, lol.

my first try at a chocolate wrap. it was chocolate cake with a chocolate kaluah cream filling wraped in dark chocolate, can you tell i love chocolate?

This looks yummy!! and sounds yummy too

Heres a cake i finished today. it's a bottle of makers mark for my brother in laws 26th birthday. The neck was crooked so i put a bow on it.

i don't like it very much but my mom says i'm to critical of my own cakes.

I'm making an oreo cake for DS birthday party tomorrow. He wants same cake again on Friday. I've already crushed the oreos for both cakes. Will the crumbs be ok in a ziploc baggie until Friday? or should I refrigerate?

I love looking at all the cakes--amazing!

I have to do a cake in a couple of weeks. I've been turning them down because I'm in school, but its for a friend. I have to do a version of the Minnie Mouse cake, but pink & white instead of red & white. Should be cute

My DH's 40th Birthday Cake:

Everyone got a huge kick out of this one! This was supposed to be "DH's Fantasy Cake"... large screen tv, beer and women draped all over him. LOL. What more could an "old guy" ask for?


DD9's Birthday Cake

Kelsey had a sleepover party and this was her choice of a cake. Not my favorite cake ever, but was dictated to me by DD9, who definitely has opinions of her own! The cake is covered in white chocolate butter cream (dyed that icky fluorescent green per DD9's orders, er I mean instructions ). I much prefer working with fondant!


Book Fair Safari Cake

I did this cake for our elementary school's annual Scholastic Book Fair Teacher Preview Party. The theme was "Book Fair Safari". The figures are based on the clipart Scholastic was using for the theme.
