How do you like it? What kind of gas mileage do you get?

Thanks!

Oooooh - I'm interested too! I told DH I want one of those as my next vehicle! :)

That is what I thought I wanted until I took a few test drives in them. First of all, I just didn't like the interior. It didn't make sense to me. There is only one cupholder in the front and it is on the floor. Kind of like an afterthought. I also noticed there wasn't really anyplace to put my cell phone. (I think of all these weird things when looking at cars) I love the outside of the Equinox, and was seroiusly considering buying one, but the inside just turned me off. I hope that Chevy will take those things into consideration for the newer models and put in a few more cupholders and have places to put things like cell phones, etc. that aren't way out of reach.
I bought a Malibu Maxx instead, which was not at ALL what I was looking for, but I love it!

Yes maam - but I am the DRIVER. :teeth:

I call shotgun!!!! :teeth: And I get to be really annoying - changing radio stations.... adjusting the temp...... :teeth:

SnoWhite - I want Lilo soooo bad! I've been wanting a Westie for almost three years now. Maybe this summer. *sigh*

I have the Red Salsa Equinox. I love the way it drives and it's small enough to get in and out of traffic quickly. The interior is okay but I really think I am comparing it to my last car and the Equinox isn't even in the same league. I had a full-loaded Trailblazer EXT with beautiful heated leather seats (back and seat had separate controls). Of course I had to have a fully-loaded Equinox but the options were limited. The heated seats in my Equinox have only one control so I can't just have a heated back and have to "suffer" with a heated seat.

I have been disappointed with the gas mileage which was the major reason I turned my Trailblazer back. The TB was costing me $50 a tank and only got 13.5 miles to the gallon. The Equinox was rated 19 city 23 highway (I'm thinking). I only have 4k miles on the car and I never got anywhere near 19 until I drove to Washington, DC last week. It was more like 14 - 15 and I drive a combination of city/highway. I did have it back to the dealer because of the poor gas mileage and I thought the exhaust was too strong. Of course they found nothing. A fillup only costs me $35 but rarely last me a week.

My lease will be up in November 2007 - and I will be going back to the Trailblazer. Maybe not the EXT but definitely the TB. It was a wonderful truck with a ton of power and a great smooth ride.

ooo.. that gas mileage stinks. I need something that gets at least 25 on the highway (most of my driving). I will look at it anyway just to cover my bases.

Not sure what the gas mileage is, but I think the gas tank is awful small.

However, my DH loves his. I wasn't too keen on it at first, but now I really like it too and given the choice I drive it before our minivan.
It handles easily, gives me a good view of the road.
DH got it with the XM radio and sunroof. I am not too fond of leather interiors, you stick to them, so I said no way to that. Otherwise it would have been fully loaded. Drivers side seat has auto adjust doohickeys. The visors pull outward to block the sunlight better.

At first I didn't care for the seats themselves, I thought they were too firm. I am used to them know, they don't bother me. I do think the headrests need a cut-away in them, so you can see through them. We are short people and the blind spots took awhile to adjust to.
I think the cupholders are fine. Two between the front seats that pull out and go back in when not needed. The middle storage area flips up.
The back seat has great leg room. Enough room that the kids are not fighting constantly. Roomy for adults to ride in back and be comfortable.

I know my DH would buy it again in a heartbeat.
Me? Not sure. I like that it is not a huge monstrosity of a vehicle. I do like the way it handles. I think it looks nice. The cargo area can hold a lot of groceries.

I have the Equinox and it actually has three cupholders in the front - it has the one you are talking about between the seats, it isn't the floor but it's the bottom of the whole storage area between the seats. Then there is also a pullout dual one that comes out from the storage compartment/arm rest between the seats. My cellphone also goes nicely in the same lower compartment area between the front seats, but it's a matter of taste. I also loved the Malibu Maxx and test drove it too. If I'd been looking for a car again rather than a larger vehicle, I definitely would have gotten it because it's really a pretty cool car!

I test drove the Equinox as well, and LOVED it, can I say that again LOVED it!!! If I was in the market for a new vehicle I would purchase it in a heart beat. I loved how high I was in it and the way that it handled. It was very roomy, and I liked that. My next vehicle will for sure be the Equinox.
